Chapter 1482
Upon hearing the plan, the assistant exclaid, "With this, the fans won’t be able to tell the real from the fake! We can attract popularity and lure in custors. It’s a win-win!"
Clara Carrington exhaled slowly, a satisfied smile lighting up her face, "In business, it’s not so important to be quick-witted, but to be able to learn. Keep an eye on what she does. If there’s any new thod, report to imdiately."

On the third day of the hotels’ opening, the Blessings Hotel started bustling with activity, while the D’Swiss Hotel remained quiet.
The news reached the higher-ups of the Carrington Enterprise.
That day happened to be the day of the quarterly eting, which was presided over by Charles Carrington.
At this point, most issues had been discussed. Now, it was about the hotel business.
Austin Thornton, the vice president, showed a graph prepared by his secretary with a blue line and a red line.
"Gentlen, the blue line symbolizes Clara Carrington, the red line symbolizes Chloe Carrington. This is the comparison of their revenues over the past two days. As you can see, the blue line has absolutely crushed the red one."
Clara’s supporters chuckled, one of them joked, "The red line is a straight line, isn’t it? Even straight lines aren’t this flat."
The blue line was soaring. The trend was promising.
Charles Carrington, maintaining a serious face said, "Mr. Thornton, it’s too early to discuss this, the final result isn’t decided yet."
"Ah, Mr. Charles, there’s a saying that victory is often won at the starting line. If you don’t make a strong beginning, it is hard to catch up later."
Charles Carrington shot a cold look and said, "Be careful with your words, or they may co back to bite you. Let’s wrap up this eting."
Layla Lowell picked up so files and followed him as they left, whispering into his ear, "Tomorrow is Saturday. I need to go back to the Capitol this afternoon. I’d like to visit Chlo-Chlo at noon, so I won’t co to work."
The man stopped in his tracks and turned to look at her, "Is that how an employee should behave? That seems quite willful."
"Then you can fire ."
"Isn’t there another way?"
"What’s that?"
"You could beco the boss’s wife. Then you could take ti off whenever you want." There was a playful glint in his eyes.
Layla Lowell’s face stiffened briefly. Then, she quickly looked away and walked on, completely ignoring him.
Just as Charles Carrington was about to catch up with her, his phone rang.
Seeing the caller, his face turned serious.
"Mr. Charles, the task you gave is done."
He frowned slightly and headed toward his office with a solemn expression. "Co to my office."
As he walked past Layla Lowell, he said, "Approved. You can take your leave now but make sure to be on ti on Monday morning."
Layla Lowell was stunned. By the ti she turned around, he had already walked into his office.
He seed very serious, not like him at all.
Soon after, a well-dressed man with quick footsteps hurried in and went straight to the president’s office.
He seed to have so urgent matters to discuss with Charles Carrington.
After he entered, he didn’t co out for a long ti.
In there,
Charles Carrington took a stack of photos from his subordinate.
"Mr. Charles, these are the internal photos of the rcy Hospital before the construction of the Harmony Complex. Due to the age of these pictures, this is all we could find."
The Harmony Complex was built fifteen years ago, before that, there was a hospital standing on this plot of land.
"I specifically investigated the location where Miss Wesley dug. Before the building was constructed, it used to be the entrance to the hospital’s underground second level."
"Underground second level? What was it used for?"
"Uh, the morgue."
Charles Carrington flipped through the photos, but didn’t find a matching one. There weren’t many valuable photos either.
