Chapter 1429

Inside a quiet European-style villa, a soothing and beautiful violin solo lody slowly flowed out, only to abruptly stop after a while.

By the first-floor window, the white curtain swayed with the wind, casting dancing shadows on the piano keys as sunshine fell on them.

Tristan Collins placed the violin on the piano, stroking the black and white keys, uttering a light sigh.

On the piano, several photo fras were placed. In one picture, a woman wore a spirited horse-riding outfit, smiling slightly at the cara, brimming with liveliness. In another photo, she donned a gentle knitted long dress, sitting amidst fiery red maple leaves, holding a large leaf in front of one eye. Her smiles were full of sparkling lights, radiantly stunning.

Tristan’s eyes moistened, a faint call echoing in his ears.

Many years ago, they loved playing and singing here, but now, this piano has not sounded for many years.

Because, the person who was qualified to play it, is no more.

Many things have changed. His face wasn’t the handso and refined one from the past; his cheeks have grown fuller, crow’s feet etched into the corners of his eyes, his skin sagging. Yet, she remained the way she was in his mories.

"She is still alive. You must have known it all along. That’s why even after those events, you never ca to see. Do you know how long I waited for you that day?"

After the attack two years ago, he hurried to the scene, but Chloe was already gone. He only heard about the following events.

He waited and waited at places where she might’ve appeared, but she never showed up.

"You must bla for my betrayal. I know you do; you’ve always been so intense. You definitely wouldn’t tolerate my betrayal..."

"You must also be upset that I didn’t treat your daughter well and was harsh to her, aren’t you? I know, you must be angry, so angry that you faked your death to avoid ."

He did not deny the sins of his past; he even intentionally committed them just to vent his anger.

No matter how things turned out, the woman he loved eventually bore the child of another man, which nearly drove him mad whenever he thought about it.

Rosalind Taylor’s appearance was just in ti, and he madly sought to exact revenge.

The revenge for her unfaithfulness.

But he forgot, in this ga of revenge, he wasn’t the winner either.

Countless argunts tore their feelings apart, and the originally intact and beautiful family was also shattered.

Lately, he’s begun to regret it a bit, even trying to find her shadow in Rosalind.

He even considered accepting Chloe just like he accepted Raine Nolan.

But he could not do it, not at all.

Whenever he thought that there was another man in this world who had once held her, he lost all rationality.

He hated them.

"I will make Chase Carrington lose everything. You would agree with that, won’t you?"

He was stroking the woman in the photo album, his gaze gentle.

Only when he was looking at the pictures, they wouldn’t argue.

Today, he left here earlier than usual, staying for less than half a day before rushing back.

He had soone contact Clara Carrington to pass on his intentions. He would help her take over Carrington Enterprises.

When Clara Carrington received this ssage, she was in deep despair. Now, this brought her a bit of relief.

At the shareholders’ eting, the three shareholders who initially promised to stand with her all turned to Chloe Collins, leading to a stalemate.

At this mont, Oliver Harding was silently noting down her expressions.

"Miss Bauer, do you want to draw everything about today exactly as it is?"
