Chapter 1374
The Collins residence.
After being away for several days, Tristan Collins finally returns today because Theodore Collins is back ho.
Theodore had been boarding at school and ca ho early for the holidays.
His return scared both Rosalind Taylor and Raine Nolan, forcing Tristan back ho.
Upon arriving, he had Theodore sent to the madam’s courtyard before heading up to the second floor.
Opera music trickled down from the second floor, interspersed with a young girl’s sobs, adding a chilling eeriness to the house.
Upon pushing open the door to the master bedroom, Tristan saw Rosalind clutching a bottle of liquor and singing drunkenly. Her eyes were red and swollen, her hair disheveled, resembling a specter. Raine was crying, pleading for her to pull herself together, but Rosalind just laughed manically.
His entrance startled the mother and daughter.
After a seconds’ silence, Raine started crying even harder, "Dad, I beg you to talk to mom. She’s on the edge!"
Tristan glared at Rosalind with disgust, showing no rcy, "Clean yourself up. We’re going to the county clerk’s office for a divorce in a while!"
The liquor bottle dropped from Rosalind’s hand with a crash.
She ran over, stepping over the sharp shards of glass, grabbed his arm, sobbing and crying out, "Give back my son! Give him back!"
Tristan shrugged her off, his eyes cold and rciless, "A sinister woman like you doesn’t deserve to raise my son! I want a divorce!"
The word divorce savagely jarred Rosalind’s mind.
She suddenly crouched down, holding her head and muttering words they couldn’t understand.
Undeterred, Tristan said, "Don’t play mad with . I’m ending this marriage. You can have the house, but I don’t want to see you ever again!"
Raine pleaded between sobs, "Dad, please don’t be like this. Mom loves you. No matter what she has done in the past, it was all for her love for you. Please forgive her. Even if you divorce her, Aunt Joy won’t be able to make it!"
Tristan angrily rebutted, "Shut up! Both of you are no good!"
Rosalind suddenly stood up, grabbed his hand again, crying and laughing erratically, "Give back my son! Give him back!"
He forcefully clutched Rosalind’s neck, his voice icy, "If it wasn’t for the fact that you gave a son, I would have killed you. You manipulated , manipulated Joy, you deserve death!"
Raine knelt down again, "Mom has already received her punishnt. Please don’t punish her any further. My little brother is frail and sickly, what would he do without Mom!"
Tristan didn’t care for any of it.
Since he learned the truth, he has harbored a deep hatred for Rosalind.
When he first found out that Chloe Collins wasn’t his biological child, he was close to a breakdown, constantly fighting with Joy.
It was during these tumultuous tis, while he was drinking everyday, that Rosalind saw her chance and ruined his life.
"I’ll give you an hour to get your stuff. We are getting divorced today!"
After dropping these words, he headed downstairs to take a temporary break in another part of the house.
In the other part of the house, Theodore was proudly showing off so new martial arts moves, to the delight and laughter of the old lady.
He had grown taller, now reaching his father’s chin, quite the young chap.
Seeing him, Tristan’s face softened.
Theodore flashed him a smile, "Dad, do you think I’m good at these martial arts moves?"
Tristan nodded, "Not bad."
