Chapter 1347

The expression on Robert Foster’s face suddenly changed. After a mont of contemplation, he said, "I’ll go find her, you two go eat first."

He pulled out his phone while rushing off.

Layla Lowell sighed: "This goofball."

Chloe Collins suddenly frowned, directing her gaze at a specific direction. She spotted soone holding a cara, quickly retracting behind an object for cover.

"What’s up?" Layla Lowell asked.

"Sothing’s happening."

With that, Chloe Collins rushed off towards that direction.

Layla Lowell was right behind her.

Their pace was quite rapid, but by the ti they got there, they could no longer see the figure.

With the constant crowd, Chloe Collins couldn’t act freely and had to temporarily halt.

Robert Foster had called Wanda Wesley three tis, all went unanswered, which made him extrely anxious.

He wandered around the campus like a headless fly, showing Wanda’s photo to passersby and asking about her whereabouts.

Finally, after questioning more than thirty people, a male student pointed him in a direction.

"She went over there."

"Thank you!"

He ran in that direction, following the path which led to a small grove.

The weather was cold, and the place was deserted and eerily quiet.

"Wandy!" he called out.

"Wandy!"

There were no footprints on the ground, and he was unsure if she had already left.

Up in the tree, Wanda Wesley was nestled between the thick branches, clutching her mouth and nose, her eyes sore as she watched the boy under the tree.

Just when she thought he was about to leave, her phone rang again.

Robert Foster beneath the tree abruptly looked up and stepped back a few steps before he spotted her hiding behind the tree trunk.

His eyes contracted before hurrying to say, "What are you doing up there? Co down at once."

Wanda Wesley shook her head, swallowing the bitterness in her throat, saying, "Please leave, I need so alone ti."

Robert Foster let out a sigh, didn’t say anything else, and began to climb up the tree directly.

The tree was very tall, about as high as a six-storey building, and Wanda Wesley was on the fifth floor.

The thick trunk was covered in a smooth layer, which made climbing more difficult.

"Listen to , that was just a joke. I have nothing to do with that girl!"

Wanda Wesley, clutching the branch, voice low, replied, "I believe you."

Her eyelashes were damp and hung heavy as she murmured in a lost tone, "It’s who doesn’t deserve you."

Robert Foster didn’t hear that.

He climbed to the spot closest to her, extending his hand, "Could you co down with , please?"

His voice, which was always gentle, beca even softer.

His anxious eyes filled with anticipation, hovering around her.

Wanda Wesley looked up, feeling overwheld with grievance at that mont. She stared at him blankly, allowing tears to flow from the corners of her eyes.

Many images flashed past her eyes.

During their three years in high school, they had no contact in the first two years. Occasionally, she would hear about him from other people. She then thought they were totally different people, two parallel lines that would never intersect.

In their third year, they happened to be in the sa class, and occasionally, she would steal glances at him.

Upon knowing him better, she found out he was not as aloof as people said, he was helpful and easy-going, sotis even adorably silly.

The feelings sprung into existence during the ti she brought them als.

She had prepared lunch for Chloe Collins and Layla Lowell to thank them for their help. Unexpectedly, Robert Foster mistakenly picked up Chloe’s share and ate it.

Stepping into the classroom, he called her the minute she entered.

It was the first ti he spoke to her, his eyes clear of the disdain and ridicule others usually carried. His eyes were so sincere and kind, striking her at her core.
