"Chapter 1308
Logan Locke interrupted: "Miss Collins, what do you an by this?"
Chloe Collins voiced her initial speculations.
Logan quickly retorted, "No! We have never shown Miss York’s picture to Seventh Brother. He only saw her from afar once when they were kids."
Manie York lowered her eyes, evidently having thought of the sa possibility.
The only eting had been during their childhood, yet Liam recognised her instantly years later; this explanation couldn’t hold water.
Unless, as Chloe Collins had guessed, the two had t again and sothing about that encounter had shocked Liam, prompting him to recognise her on sight.
She racked her brain for a long ti, then shook her head: "I can’t rember. Apart from seeing him as a kid and photos as I grew older, I really haven’t seen him."
She looked at Chloe Collins: "Go ask him, only he knows. Let him tell us!"
After this was said, there was complete silence.
Manie suddenly felt like a fool. If Liam could talk, would it be so difficult?
She lowered her gaze, not wanting to speak anymore.
"Don’t pressure Manie anymore, she lost her mory during that period." Jerry River walked in, his face serious.
"mory loss?" Manie York was confused: "Master, did I lose my mory?"
eting everyone’s gaze, Jerry River nodded, sighed, and turned to Chloe Collins: "Your guess is indeed correct. Her connection with Liam is not only from their childhood, but also from that encounter 17 years ago."
Logan Locke: "And how did you know about this?"
Jerry River inclined his head slightly, expressing respect for the mbers of the royal family, and then slowly said: "Because I was ordered to protect her in secret. Unfortunately, during the unrest in your country, we got separated. It took a great effort to find her. At that ti, she had lost a part of her mory, including the part where she t Liam. Afterward, she woke up and left to escape , then t Alexander Foster."
Manie York’s gaze beca distant, as if lost in mory, but she was frustrated that she couldn’t recall any relevant scenes to corroborate Jerry River’s words. However, she knew Jerry River would never lie to her.
She grabbed Jerry River’s clothes, asking anxiously: "Master, what’s in the part of my mory that I lost? What caused to lose my mory?"
Jerry River didn’t answer imdiately upon hearing this, issuing a mysterious look as he glanced at Chloe Collins.
After a few seconds, he said: "It was an accident. Due to the unrest you followed a group of refugees to hide, then accidentally fell into the mountains and hit your head on a rock."
A realization suddenly dawned on Manie York: "I rember. I fainted then, and when I woke up, you were there, Master. Then, all I rember is being forced to run with a crowd. I can’t rember anything else, but there was no wound on my head at the ti..."
She looked up at Jerry River questioningly.
A hint of sothing strange passed through Jerry River’s eyes before he paused and said, "You must be mistaken, there was a wound."
Manie York scratched her head: "Really?"
Temporarily dismissing his lie, Chloe Collins softly asked: "Could Sir tell us the cause of Miss York’s injury?"
Logan Locke also said, "Yes, exactly what happened between my Seventh Brother and her that causes him to lose his senses the mont he sees her?"
Jerry River remained silent, his face stern.
His eyes returned to Manie York’s face, saying "Manie, let Master take you ho."
"Master, I want to know too, please tell us." Manie York pleaded.
