Chapter 1300
After freshening up, Chloe Collins headed to the basent to check on Liam Locke.
Half-eaten food was left at the entrance; it was the al that Liam had eaten, left unfinished and sent back out.
She knocked, "It’s ."
"Co in," a warm male voice answered.
Upon entering, she saw Liam sitting by the desk, reading.
She glanced around, noticing her untouched letter still intact on the table, seemingly unopened, but in a new position.
She knew, he had read it, he just hadn’t made up his mind yet. So he decided to ponder it, pretending he hadn’t seen it.
She didn’t expose his facade, instead picking up his drawing to take a look.
It was a simple landscape painting. The world within the picture had blue sky and white clouds, little deers and birds, and a man and a woman.
The two people were holding a kite, letting it fly high.
"Is that you and ?"
Liam responded subtly, "Yeah."
She put down the painting and suggested, "Let’s go fly a kite."
Under her gaze, the boy nodded in agreent.
In the broad and flat grassland, Alexander Foster and Logan Locke could only watch Chloe and Liam playing with their kite from afar.
Logan was relieved, "Luckily, we t Miss Collins. Without her, my seventh brother would have been lost long ago."
He glanced at Alexander and laughed, "Mr. Foster, you are truly blessed."
Looking at the girl running with her kite, Alexander’s eyes softened, "I am indeed blessed. eting her is the luckiest and happiest thing in my life."
Logan joked, "You should wed her quickly, to prevent others from having ideas. Miss Collins has quite a few suitors after all."
Alexander slightly raised the corners of his lips, seemingly considering this suggestion.
Liam’s smile erged as he ran, pure and natural, possessing a calming effect.
The kite was flown high, its long tail flickering in the wind.
Chloe turned back and wiped the sweat off his face, asking, "Are you happy?"
Liam’s smile was brilliant, he nodded, then nodded again.
Then he said, "I want to return to the northern suburb. I haven’t finished my lessons with you."
"Sure, we will return tonight," she agreed.
It was a pleasant and relaxed afternoon, until the appearance of Jerry River disrupted the peace.
He announcing that he wanted to be Chloe’s personal doctor, for convenient observation.
He didn’t co to negotiate, rely to inform, so he invited himself and had no intention of leaving.
Chloe called Albert Green and learned that the two had recently had an argunt over the phone and blocked each other three tis on the ssaging app.
On the phone, Albert’s words were filled with childishness-
"If it wasn’t for you, Chlo-Chlo, I swear I wouldn’t want to see his dumb face for another second! Every extra second I see him, I feel like throwing up!"
"If I’m already so disgusted with him before he cos, I can’t imagine what will happen when he does. I doubt I could take that!"
Chloe looked back at Jerry from afar and casually comnted, "He’s quite sturdy. If you two were to fight, you probably wouldn’t stand a chance."
"I... Humph!" Albert huffed in annoyance.
"It seems like he won’t be going over there for now, I’ll observe for a bit."
While she was on the phone, Jerry, on the other hand, was texting Mane York.
[Manie, the Master has infiltrated the enemy’s base. Just wait, I will create an opportunity for you and Alexander to be alone. We can’t give up so easily!]
After sending the ssage, he chuckled, glancing over at Chloe, his smile turned more sinister.
