Chapter 1215

Chloe Collins said lightly: "Prepare the car."

"Okay." Heijii has always found her elusive, just about to leave, he rembered those two, and said: "Boss, there’s sothing I need to tell you, I passed by them, and I heard Mr. White and Mr. Foster talking, it seed like they were arguing."

Chloe was silent for a second, and said indifferently: "They argue whenever they et, it’s normal."

"But, Mr. White was smoking."

He took out half of the cigarette and showed it to Chloe: "Look, half of it is smoked, didn’t you once said that he despised the sll of cigarettes?"

Heijii is a smoker, but whenever Milton White ca, Chloe always stopped him from smoking because Milton disliked the sll of smoke.

Chloe picked up the cigarette and examined it, her eyes calm.

"This cigarette looks a bit different than usual." Heijii said.

Chloe: "How could it be different?"

"It’s bigger."

Chloe examined the cigarette again, and indeed, it was slightly larger than a regular cigarette.

"Go prepare the car."

Heijii nodded and went off.

Chloe leaned against the pillar, and after a while, she began to peel off the wrapper of the cigarette, layer by layer.

A white powdery substance fell from the cigarette.

Her eyes narrowed, and she took the cigarette back to the laboratory.

A few minutes later, Albert Green told her that it was a kind of sedative made into a powder, mainly used for patients with ntal illnesses. Sotis, when people are under great stress and on the verge of an emotional breakdown, it would be used occasionally.

"Chlo-Chlo, where did you find this?" Albert Green asked curiously.

Chloe regained her thoughts, and said: "Mr. Green, this matter should be kept confidential."

Albert Green nodded his head: "Okay, I won’t speak of it. Sigh, it must have been due to imnse stress and emotional turmoil, that soone started using these things. It’s personal privacy, I won’t tell anyone."

Chloe nodded her head and walked outside.

Albert Green muttered and sighed behind her: "Oh, Alexander Foster, this kid, must be under a lot of pressure to resort to drugs, sigh."

After Chloe returned to Capitol University, she asked Heijii to wait in the car. She was only back in the lab for a mont and quickly ca back out.

She had removed her hearing aid as her hearing and sense of sll had returned to normal. Walking on the street, she still felt sowhat not used to it.

No longer hearing a mélange of noises blocking her ears, no sudden slly stench, and with the disappearance of these, her sense of security vanished too.

This was the condition of a normal person.

She was getting a bit tired. Like what Mr. Green said, she’d feel sleepy easily these few days, and she felt the wave of sleepiness crashing into her consciousness.

Fortunately, there was a chair by her side, so she sat down, enjoying the warm breeze, rather contentedly.

She had barely rested a few seconds when she was disturbed by a chatty female voice, her eyes half opened.

A few girls were sitting nearby, holding so snacks, seemingly ready for a picnic.

The voice and face seed familiar.

"Felicia, didn’t you also go on that cruise? Quickly tell us the situation."

Felicia.

Chloe rembered the conversation she heard at the restaurant that day, regarding Raine Nolan, Cherry Foster, and Anders Spence.

"Then I’ll just tell you guys, be sure to keep your mouths shut tightly, otherwise we would all be killed by Raine Nolan."

"Ah, was it really Raine Nolan who asked you to do it?"

"Do even need to ask that? Plainly speaking, Raine Nolan set sights on Cherry Foster’s boyfriend and wanted to create discord between the two. She constantly planned against them, making Cherry Foster doubt that man, and when the miscommunication arises, they argued incessantly, and eventually their feelings faded."
