Chapter 1206
Investors from all walks of life were gathering here to watch Little Alita showcase her skills.
A hand patted Chloe Collins on the shoulder. She turned around and saw Nathaniel Nolan.
"Chloe!"
This caught the attention of Milton White, causing him to turn his head as well.
Nathaniel Nolan wasn’t exactly a stranger to him; they had t several tis before, but weren’t close enough to have conversations. Their common connection was Chloe Collins, who was frequently invited to Nathaniel’s ho by his mother. Whenever Chloe stayed late, Milton would co pick her up.
Upon seeing each other at this ti, Nathaniel gave him a slight nod in greeting, then turned to Chloe and said, "Your design is superb. I’m both shocked and impressed by how much you’ve achieved in such a short ti!"
He had guessed that Chloe would stand out, but he hadn’t expected her to be this amazing.
Chloe was always quick to learn ever since she was in elentary school. If she wanted to learn sothing, she would stop at nothing. But this ti, Nathaniel was genuinely taken aback. He didn’t expect her to grasp sothing as complex as this in such a short ti.
"Look at the group chat, our whole School of Information Science is discussing you!"
Their team, which was originally supposed to be the highlight of the exhibition today, was completely overshadowed by Chloe’s team. Calling them a dark horse wouldn’t be an exaggeration!
Chloe glanced at the chat; it was filled with various remarks.
"Oh, yes, I heard a few researchers from the research institute discussing you earlier. They’ve sought opinions from our professors. I believe, they intend on making an exception to invite you to work at the research institute."
Becoming a formal researcher was neither easy nor instantaneous; it required ti and certain prerequisites. Normally, one could only apply to beco a research assistant two years after completing their master’s degree. After successfully becoming a research assistant, it would be another three years before they could apply to beco an associate researcher.
Given that Chloe was only a freshman, if she were accepted, it would truly be extraordinary.
As soon as Nathaniel finished speaking, a pathway was cleared up front. A few elderly gentlen with benevolent faces were cheerfully approaching Chloe.
Following them were Shane Rocker and others.
"This is Chloe Collins, a freshman from the Automation Departnt of Capitol University, and the top scorer of the College Entrance Exam," Shane Rocker introduced her to the three academicians. Then, he introduced the nas of the three academicians to Chloe. The man leading the group was Kirk Reyes, a distinguished scientist at the National Research Institute and a highly respected figure.
Chloe had heard of him from Lucas Locke and others. Apparently, even the dean of Capitol University’s Research Institute held him in high regard. She had also heard about him from Professor Willow and admired him as a remarkable scientist.
She bowed her head and respectfully greeted them.
Kirk Reyes nodded slightly, showing a gentle smile as he looked at the young woman before him, asking, "When did you start researching robotics?"
All eyes were on her.
Chloe answered, "About a month after the sester started."
A series of muttered exclamations ensued.
"She must be lying! It’s only been a few months since the sester started. How could she design such high-end technology?"
"I don’t believe it, I just don’t."
The voices of doubt were quickly suppressed, as it was not appropriate to be too outrageous in the presence of these figures.
Kirk Reyes showed no suspicion in his eyes. He maintained his kind gaze, asking, "Had you studied anything related before?"
Chloe calmly replied, "Little Alita is not just the result of my efforts, but the combined hard work of our entire team. Before I joined, Lucas Locke had been leading others to research for more than two years. I simply improved the project based on their work."
People reluctantly accepted this explanation.
