Chapter 1148
Layla Lowell gave him a kick, "I don’t want to hear it."
The kick was hard, and pain appeared on Charles Carrington’s face, but this ti, he didn’t let go of her hand like before.
"Co with ."
After his heavy comnt, he dragged Layla away.
Seeing this, Robert Foster steeled his heart and turned to Wanda Wesley who had been hiding all afternoon.
"Uh, Wanda Wesley, I have sothing to tell you."
Wanda Wesley looked at him and nodded.
In a mont, the two of them also found a place to talk.
Leaving only Milton White and Alexander Foster.
Silence surrounded them.
After a while, Milton White started, "We should talk too."
Elsewhere.
Though Damien Hart’s car was nearby, they were surrounded by so many fans that it was difficult to move forward.
Accustod to this situation, Damien Hart talked to her at ease.
"It’s the first ti I’ve heard you sing. It’s really great."
Chloe Collins leaned back and said, "It’s nothing special."
"It’s different. Your singing is just good."
"You flatter ." She smiled helplessly.
Damien Hart waved his hand, "Mr. Foster is formidable to get you to sing."
He seed to recall sothing, asked, "He’s the guy you ntioned last ti?"
Understanding his gaze, Chloe Collins nodded, "Yeah, he’s your grandmother’s favorite disciple, Bennett White."
"At first, your grandmother didn’t like very much. It was only later that it got better. Thanks to him, your grandmother thought highly of and even passed this ring on to ."
She looked at the silver ring on her index finger, mories swirling in her mind.
This ring had been remodeled from the one given to her by the head of the Dark Alliance, and it had protected her for many years.
With a slight smile, Damien Hart said, "It wasn’t for nothing, didn’t she give you a mission?"
Chloe Collins lowered her hand, "The mission wasn’t heavy, the deal was worth it."
"Not heavy? You almost lost your life trying to save our family."
Chloe Collins responded nonchalantly, "The process doesn’t matter, the fact that I didn’t die is all that matters."
Her gaze was distant, as if traveling back in ti.
At that ti, when she received the mission to go and save people, she realized upon seeing Damien Hart that he was the sa person her great-grandmother had been watching diligently on the computer, the permanent guest on a variety show.
This person was her own grandson.

After a group of people ran off to chase the stars, the evening party venue quieted down, leaving only a few mbers of the Student Council to organize the cleanup.
Two n stood beside the stage, a ter apart.
"She cares a lot about you." Milton White spoke.
Alexander Foster: "Obvious."
Milton White’s lip curled slightly in self-mockery, "Fate is funny sotis. Despite trying to avoid sothing at all costs, in the end, you still fall right into it."
He looked at the scroll in Alexander Foster’s hand.
Alexander Foster realized there was a deeper aning in his words but didn’t probe further, only remarked, "What will be, will be."
Milton White laughed, nodded, seeming to agree but also resigned.
Though his eyes held a thousand words, he remained silent.
"I have other things to deal with. I will leave first."
Hesitating for a mont, as he turned to leave, he added, "Happy Birthday."
Alexander Foster watched him leave, lost in thought.
Not long after, Chloe Collins returned.
Alexander Foster was the only one still there.
The pair decided to leave the things to the departnt and return to the Fosters. Evelyn Thompson was still waiting at ho for Alexander Foster’s birthday, hadn’t even eaten dinner.
Alexander Foster spoke, "Change your clothes first, I brought a clean set."
Before Chloe Collins could reply, a voice called from behind, "Chloe Collins."
