Chapter 1131

Elsewhere, the airport.

Chloe Collins ca out from the Fosters early in the morning and had been waiting here for over ten minutes.

Today, Robert Foster was returning from Yerosia and asked her to pick him up.

Chloe glanced at a group of girls not far from her, holding cards bearing Robert’s na.

Ever since Robert dropped his Mount Infern alias, he got recognized all the ti whether he was ho or abroad, and often got asked for autographs.

She was just carelessly glancing when she suddenly caught a familiar scent. She took a closer look, and sure enough, she was right.

Wanda Wesley was among them.

Her: "..."

What a surprise.

She suddenly rembered that a few days ago, Wanda’s mood had been unusually high, her mouth often curving into a smile. She must have known about this all along.

Chloe didn’t go over to call her, but stepped back instead.

Sure enough, Robert appeared soon after.

He was taken aback by the crowd, instinctively taking a couple of steps back.

At this mont, Wanda broke out from the crowd and threw herself at him.

The other fans also rushed forward, trying to get to their idol.

With a mask on, Robert seed surprised and also at a loss, standing in a daze, but not forgetting to keep his arms around Wanda’s shoulders.

In a short while, Wanda dragged him out of the crowd.

Chloe didn’t follow them, but yawned and grinned.

Five minutes later, her phone rang.

After answering, she said, "Are you sure you want to go now?"

"Yeah, didn’t you say you have a rehearsal today? Better get to it."

"Are you a fool?"

Chloe frowned. "Never mind, I’ll et you in the afternoon."

She ended the call and walked away.

Having taken the day off, she didn’t go school. She thought for a mont, and then drove to the Fosters’.

Alexander Foster got up very early today, because he had so urgent matters to deal with and would be busy all day.

Evelyn Thompson asked him to have a day off tomorrow for her birthday, but he couldn’t promise.

When she reached the Fosters’, unfortunately, Alexander had just gone out and would not be back until two hours later. So she just decided to wait for him in the reception room.

Since she woke up early, she leaned against the sofa and fell asleep while waiting.

When she woke up, she felt completely satisfied and energized. Opening her eyes, she saw a dimly lit room.

Looking down, she found herself covered with a blanket, lying on Alexander’s bed in his break room. The pillow and blanket slled like him, and she could see his personal items beside the bed.

At that mont, he was sitting at his desk by the window, reviewing so docunts with a dimly lit desk lamp on. The heavy curtains beside him were pulled tightly shut, making it impossible to tell whether it was day or night outside.

Chloe touched her stomach, figuring it was probably around noon.

She turned over, not bothering to sit up.

Alerted by her slight movents, the man turned his head and a gentle smile appeared on his handso face.

"Awake."

"Hmm, when did you return? I didn’t notice at all."

"About half an hour ago. You were deep asleep."

As he spoke, he put down his docunts, ca over, sat beside her bed, and adjusted her blanket. "The assistant told you ca over two hours ago. Anything urgent?"

Chloe blinked and then pulled a ticket from her clothes.

"I want to book your ti for tomorrow evening."

Alexander took the ticket and glanced at it. It was an admission ticket for the Capitol University Orientation Party.

He regretfully said, "What should I do? I have a dinner eting tomorrow evening."

"Oh." Chloe turned her face away. "Then give back the ticket. I’ll give it to soone else, so it won’t go to waste."

Alexander dodged his hand, holding the ticket and smiling, "Once a gift is given, how could it be taken back?"

"You don’t need it, so there’s no point in keeping it."

The man pinched her face: "I was just teasing you."
