She turned to Milton White, "Senior, you go first."
Milton White relented, "The remaining people were dealt with by my father. I was totally focused on saving that batch, I don’t know what happened after."
"Really?" Alexander Foster looked at him doubtfully, clearly not believing.
Milton White seed not to care about his opinion, he only said to Chloe Collins, "I would deceive anyone but you."
He added, "I fought with Wanda Wesley last night. Compared to you, she actually resembles more the people who pursued you back then."
Chloe Collins nodded, "Yes, because we took different drugs. She is an experint subject of the fifth-generation drug, and I am of the second. Her foster father is Professor Serrano, responsible for holding X-1 for him. She is now with us, so you don’t need to be wary of her."
"Has the experint progressed?"
Chloe Collins shrugged, "Mr. Green is still in the experintal stage, we can’t rush this. Last ti when we hastily tried the drug, I almost hurt them, I heard."
"What?" Milton White was surprised.
Alexander Foster retorted, "Apparently, there’s a lot more you don’t know."
Milton White puckered his brow, "Eleven, tell ."
"Nothing much, just that after obtaining X-4 from him, Mr. Green developed new dicine. It worked well on lab rats, but it backfired on . I lost my sanity and attacked humans. Mr. Green ntioned that it was because the main effect of X-4 is to control the central nervous system, and using it alone could lead to extrely severe consequences. Any average person with it would be dead by now, but I survived because of BDR-2’s protection."
Her gaze drifted off in the distance, and she said with so exclamation: "BDR-2 is a double-edged sword, reflecting the worst and the best."
Milton White glanced at Alexander Foster, and said to Chloe Collins, "You went to the Fosters for Emma Foster’s manuscript. I heard from Mr. Green that this has been sorted out, there’s no need for further interruption."
Alexander Foster sneered, "Didn’t Mr. Green tell you? I can relieve her heart disease?"
Milton White’s eyes darkened, having no rebuttal at all!
The two n locked eyes in silence.
Chloe Collins groaned and turned around, "I want to wander around the next-door Capitol University, do as you please."
She had barely taken a few steps when the open space to her left and right was claid by the two tall n.
The Cloudscape Enterprise was very close to Capitol University, and in general, there were mostly tech companies in the surrounding area.
Exiting the company and passing a bustling Foodie Lane, you can see the East Gate of Arkney University, with its ancient and aromatic wooden buildings. The grand blue frad golden sign hung above reads – Arkney University.
There were tourists taking pictures around, alongside students coming in and out.
Chloe Collins was actually quite unfamiliar with this university. She had heard of it many tis but had never visited.
Now that she was here, she thought she might as well take a tour.
A gust of sumr wind blew, causing discomfort and a dry throat.
Chloe Collins coughed twice, her nose felt a little wrong, a bit itchy.
It seed she caught a cold from enjoying the wind in the hot air balloon last night.
She idly found a place to sit down, turning around. She didn’t know when the two n beside her had gone to the nearby refreshnt stall.

(Mini spoiler: The conspiracy behind the main storyline is a bit complex. There were many threads laid in front earlier, including Alexander Foster’s injury leading him to the Temple, the dical staff also getting injured around the sa ti (the female lead ntioned this incident when she went to the male lead’s courtyard to pick persimmons to soothe him), the female lead being chased after and Robert Foster’s kidnapping, including the delayed appearance of the dical staff etc. These will all be foreshadowed for the sa event to be unveiled later.)
