Chapter 50: You? Just You?
She rushed in with a computer, and after seeing Chloe Collins, her anxious expression disappeared, replaced by disdain and contempt.
Without looking directly at Chloe, she asked, "Where’s my Second Brother?"
Chloe stood at the staircase entrance and replied indifferently, "Not here."
"Where did he go? He always cos back on ti to walk Victor." There was a touch of discontent in Cherry Foster’s eyes.
"I don’t know." Chloe Collins left her with that and walked upstairs.
"Wait."
Cherry put the computer down and quickly walked in front of Chloe, blocking her way to the stairs.
"Your movent is limited to the first floor. The second floor is my Second Brother’s private area, you can’t go up there."
Chloe exuded a leisurely deanor, her words revealing a hint of laziness, "He never ntioned that to ."
Cherry’s eyes flickered, "That’s because...he hasn’t had the chance to say it. He doesn’t like to talk, but that’s his character. No one is allowed to enter this house without his permission, not even Mr. Ford for cleaning. Don’t you understand?"
By the end of her tirade, Cherry’s tone held a touch of bla.
"Hey, hey, hey, what’s going on between you two?"
Robert Foster suddenly appeared.
To Cherry, he was Fourth Brother. "Fourth Brother, you tell Chloe. She wants to go upstairs while my Second Brother isn’t here. You know he doesn’t like people intruding into his private space."
As she finished speaking, she had already hooked her arm around Robert’s.
Robert "tsk"-ed and scolded, "That’s usually the case, but she lives here now. It’s not the sa. This place isn’t a prison, why restrict her freedom?"
Cherry grumbled, "But..."
"But but but, what about you? What are you doing here at this hour? Isn’t your mom looking for you?"
Cherry’s face fell as she walked to pick up the computer, "My computer suddenly went like this. I rembered that Second Brother studied computer science and thought he could help."
The laptop screen was filled with various windows, both ads and non-ads, and the cursor remained motionless.
Robert frowned as he took the computer and looked at it, scoffing, "Who told you computer science majors can definitely fix computers? Have you tried shutting down and restarting?"
"I tried, it didn’t work."
She quickly took the computer back and turned to Chloe, "I’ll wait here for my Second Brother and also go upstairs to borrow a book to read. I haven’t been here in a while."
With that, she walked upstairs.
Suddenly, Chloe stretched out her long leg to block her way.
"What are you doing?"
Chloe’s indifferent eyes fell on the computer in Cherry’s arms, and she casually held out her hand, "I’ll help you fix it, so you don’t have to bother him."
Cherry was stunned. Then she laughed, "You? Just you?"
Robert was also curious and looked at her, interested. He took the computer from Cherry and handed it to Chloe, "Then you try."
"Ah—" Cherry wanted to stop them, but it was too late.
Chloe had already lowered her head to check the computer.
Robert also watched her with a mix of belief and doubt.
Cherry seed to rember sothing and stopped worrying.
She had deliberately asked a hacker to tamper with the computer so she could find an excuse to talk to her Second Brother and rekindle their bond.
Because without a proper reason, her Second Brother never allowed her to stay by his side for more than ten minutes.
And Chloe, a stranger, was actually allowed to live here.
In the long run, her Second Brother might beco even closer to this outsider than her.
She couldn’t just sit back and do nothing, so she ca up with this plan.
With this thought, she stopped worrying and sat down leisurely on the couch, picking up a grape and eating it.
It was a trap set by a top hacker, and ordinary people couldn’t break it~
"Done."
A light female voice sounded.
