Chapter 478: Chapter 478: Attack the Ring

Chapter 478

One hour ago.

After more than an hour of competition, the "Strongest God of Wine" contest had devolved into chaos.

At first, there were rules, and the contestants all adhered to them.

About an hour into the competition, the atmosphere reached a fever pitch. Everyone elbowed in, grabbing their drinks, whoever fell first or staggered would be dragged off by the security guard.

The alcohol was strong. Under the rule of survival of the fittest, within fifteen minutes, only three people remained on the stage.

With fewer people, the rules were quickly reestablished, and the competition proceeded in earnest.

They were all potbellied alcoholics who drank several jugs of liquor a day, and at this mont, none of them wished to give up. They chugged the liquor, none of them eager to undergo the hearing and vision tests first.

As the contest had four difficulty levels, A, B, C, and D, based on how much one could drink and the strength of the alcohol. Level A was the highest difficulty. Contestants had to drink four kilos of the strongest liquor before testing their vision and hearing. The lowest difficulty was level D, which required only one kilo of ordinary strong alcohol before proceeding to the next round.

Given the difficulty levels, completing one round of level A equaled to completing four rounds of level D, three rounds of level C, or two rounds of level B.

If two contestants chose different levels to compete, the one who chose level A only needed to complete one round, and didn’t need to proceed to the second round. The other contestants needed to complete the corresponding number of rounds comparable with the ti it took the contest at level A to finish.

Now, the three on the stage all chose level A and began guzzling their spirits.

But the alcohol was strong, and it wasn’t long before the winner was determined. One older man in his fifties was left standing.

The host still acted according to the rules, announcing his fastest ti in several rounds. He finished the round in just three minutes and fifty-six seconds.

"Three minutes and fifty-six seconds! Mr. Quincy completed the challenge of level A difficulty in just three minutes and fifty-six seconds!"

The crowd erupted into applause.

At this point, many people had already fallen, and after the host called out three tis, barely anyone raised their hand to challenge the stage.

Finally, soone made the attempt, but unfortunately took too long and failed.

Following this, five consecutive challengers all ended in failure. The man surnad Quincy laughed heartily, standing with open arms on the stage: "Anyone else?"

He was still sober, showing no signs of drunkenness.

Many were impressed, applauding in fascination.

Chloe Collins and her companion had been watching the commotion for an hour, and their al was almost finished.

Taking the adjacent table was a pair of n who’d taken the challenge earlier and were now vomiting. Their girlfriends were busy looking after them, chiding them as they did so.

"If you can’t handle your drink, why push yourself? You really think we could win that 200,000? Don’t throw your lives away!"

"Exactly. Did you really think the organizers would let us take that 200,000 easily?"

The two n argued back: "They made the spirits extra strong this ti, and we had other drinks before. Of course we didn’t make it. Just you watch - apart from that old drinker, no one will be able to hold on."

"What a sha, that luxury tour wasted on an old man!"

Hearing this, Layla Lowell felt restless.

"Chlo-Chlo, I’m going for it! Watch !"

"Ah -"

Before Chloe could utter a word, Layla rushed down to challenge the stage.

As soon as she stepped on the stage, the Host let out a "whoa".

"You, young lady, are comndably brave. May I ask for your na?"
