Chapter 402: Chapter 402 Deliberate Acting
Chapter 402
Seeing Alex still worried, Chloe casually pulled him downstairs.
This subconscious action made Alex’s tense nerves relax a bit. He stared at her slender hand, his chest filled with a mix of sweet and sad feelings.
Upon reaching downstairs, Chloe naturally let go of his wrist.
"Fishie, connect
to your phone."
Layla Lowell searched for her phone, unlocked it, and handed it over to her.
Chloe asked her to tune into the surveillance video, and soon a clip from inside the room appeared.
When Alex saw Jason Chen skulking at the door trying keys, his pupils suddenly darkened.
Jason Chen soon opened the door and entered. Just then, the bathroom door opened, and Chloe reached out to grab her clothes.
Imdiately, Jason Chen lunged at the door, pounding it.
Five seconds later, the door suddenly swung inward, and Jason Chen fell heavily at the doorway. Right after, Chloe, already dressed, rushed out in a panic.
Alex looked closely at Chloe’s expression and suddenly realized sothing was off—she was doing it on purpose.
Purposely showing a scared expression in front of the cara.
As a result, Jason Chen beca even more excited, standing up and rushing toward Chloe while stripping off his clothes.
Chloe let out a long scream, grabbed whatever she could, and threw it at him.
In an instant, the floor was covered in broken pieces.
Jason Chen dodged all the debris and lunged at her lecherously.
At that mont, Chloe backed against the wall with nowhere to go. She seed fearful as she resisted, but with both hands, she easily pushed Jason Chen away.
Jason Chen’s clumsy body suddenly fell backward.
He reflexively grabbed the curtain, and his weight and inertia combined to pull it down.
In that instant, the large curtain fell slowly as the clips ca loose, blocking the cara for five seconds.
Inside the curtain, Jason Chen’s body outline could be clearly seen, his movents broad and aggressive, obviously attempting to force himself on her.
But when the curtain fell completely, the cara caught him lying on the floor, convulsing all over.
Chloe stood nearby, still looking panicked and helpless.
At that mont, Layla Lowell rushed into the fra.
She didn’t notice the glass shards on the floor, stumbled, and fell. However, without even looking back, she lunged at Jason Chen with the golf club in her hand.
Chloe stopped her, not allowing her to hit him.
Soon after, Charlotte Floyd also rushed in, yelling at Jason Chen and pointing her finger at Chloe and Layla.
With that, Chloe exited the software and returned the phone to Layla.
She calmly said, "Give this to the police and have them sentence him to the maximum punishnt!"
Her tone and expression were very relaxed, not at all like soone who had just experienced a terrifying ordeal.
Indeed, for Chloe, Jason Chen was just a minor character, soone she could easily handle with the flick of a finger.
She didn’t have to co out, she could’ve dealt with him in the bathroom quickly and more satisfyingly.
The reason she went through such trouble and deliberately acted out the scene of a weak girl against a greasy uncle was to create solid evidence by exploiting the stark contrast of one strong and one weak character.
After all, for the sa cri, the law would impose different sentences depending on the severity of the situation.
If she had quickly beaten him and presented an outco where she was strong and he was weak, perhaps Jason Chen wouldn’t receive any severe punishnt.
With the current outco, as long as the lawyer was capable, they could get Jason Chen severely sentenced.
As a result, Charlotte Floyd would be completely isolated and helpless.
With her daughter and brother both in jail, she wouldn’t have the ability to deal with Layla Lowell.
