As the conversation went on, even the boys’ attention was drawn away.
One guy muttered under his breath, "Is this perfu really that magical? My girlfriend said she’ll break up with
if I don’t buy it for her."
Soone else said: "Just get it. It’s just a bottle of perfu. How much can it cost? Your family isn’t short of money."
Another person chid in: "This perfu is so popular even before it’s released. I think my girlfriend will want it, too. I need to start saving money."
"Hey, hey, hey, isn’t Redolence a company owned by Robert Foster’s family? Let’s talk to him and see if he can give us a few bottles for free?"
"Are you kidding? Are you that desperate for money? Have so self-respect."
As the bell rang for class to start, the discussion gradually ceased.
The chemistry teacher entered the classroom and was taken aback when he saw Wanda Wesley and Chloe Collins, "What are you two still doing here?"
Chloe looked up and waited for the teacher to elaborate.
Wanda was also baffled, she quietly asked, "Teacher, where should we be then?"
"Where should you be? Of course, in Conference Room Three. Ms. Brooke is already waiting for you there. Raine Nolan is already there, why are you two still here?"
Wanda was still clueless, "But there’s no class with Ms. Brooke on the schedule for this period..."
"Oh, we’ve all discussed it. Before the final round, you two can review the chemistry competition problems during chemistry class, instead of having to listen to the regular class here. Didn’t Ms. Brooke tell you?"
Wanda was still confused.
At this mont, Chloe Collins had already stood up, and as she passed by Wanda, she whispered softly, "Let’s go."
Wanda hurriedly followed Chloe.
She looked puzzled, "I didn’t get any notification from Ms. Brooke, did you?"
Chloe: "No."
"No one ntioned anything about going to the conference room for this class either. Strange."
Soon, the two of them reached the doorway of Conference Room Three. The door was left open, and they could clearly see the situation inside.
Vanessa Brooke was standing in front of the projector screen, giving Raine Nolan one-on-one tutoring.
Suddenly, she noticed the two girls at the door and her eyes widened with surprise.
It was as if she was saying: Why are you here?
Wanda took the initiative to speak up, "Teacher, we’re sorry for being late. No one told us about the class this afternoon, and it wasn’t on the schedule either."
Vanessa Brooke’s expression turned strange, as she seed to weigh her options. Her gaze was quite cold.
It appeared she was trying to decide on what to say. A few seconds later, she shifted her gaze and waved her hand, "Find a seat."
Chloe took a casual glance at her and knew what was going on.
It seed like she never planned to call them over in the first place.
She was also surprised and puzzled by their arrival, wondering how they found out about this arrangent.
However, it wouldn’t be appropriate to bring up such a topic, so she simply let them sit down.
Wanda didn’t notice this detail and quickly found a seat, took out her black pen, flipped open her notebook, and listened attentively to the teacher.
Chloe didn’t need to bring any materials, just listening to the lecture was enough for her.
Vanessa Brooke ignored the two of them for almost half an hour, with only eye contact between her and Raine Nolan.
Just before class ended, she pointed to a multiple-choice question.
"Now, look at this question. Tell , among these four options, A, B, C, and D, which is the most confusing? And which one is the correct answer?"
Wanda raised her hand, "Option C is the confusing one, and the correct answer should be option B."
As she said this, the atmosphere suddenly beca strangely quiet.
Vanessa Brooke didn’t speak or look at her. She continued to hold her marker in her hand and kept the position of leaning forward to listen to the students’ answers. It seed as if she had suddenly frozen in her tracks.
