Chapter 352: Chapter 352: I’ll Go Down to Pick You Up

Chapter 352

She checked the ti once more, slightly past 10:30.

Could they be in a eting?

Usually, at this ti on Mondays, many people were either in etings or on their way to one.

She wasn’t in a hurry, so she casually found a seat in the lobby waiting area on the first floor and sat down to wait patiently.

The surrounding area was also filled with people waiting, each of them giving her strange looks.

She glanced at her attire; clad in a school uniform, carrying a small black backpack, and wearing a black duckbill cap – an unmistakable student look, glaringly different from the suited and booted people around her.

She didn’t mind, though, and just picked up a magazine from the table to pass the ti.

Over at the front desk,

The three receptionists stood about five feet away from each other at their respective workplaces. At this mont, they had a rare mont of downti and took the chance to relax and stretch.

One of them glanced at the waiting area and imdiately raised a doubtful voice,

"Why is there a female student here?"

The other two also looked over.

"She didn’t co here for registration just now; clearly, she’s soone without an appointnt."

"Isn’t it class ti now? What is a student doing here?"

"She might be soone’s young girlfriend, or perhaps she’s here to flirt with n? She seems quite pretty, after all."

"Let

go check."

As Chloe read the book, a shadow suddenly lood over her.

"Excuse , who are you looking for?"

A voice sounded in her ear, and she turned to see a pretty young lady in what appeared to be the attire of a front desk staff mber.

Chloe took a look at her, knowing it was no use explaining and rely said, "It’s nothing, you can go back to your work."

She hadn’t made an appointnt, so there was no way the front desk would let her in.

She would still wait for Alexander Foster to co down.

The receptionist chuckled and said, "This isn’t a place for you to study, please go to a milk tea shop if you want to use Wi-Fi. You see, there’s a large one right across the street. Just order a milk tea for about twenty-sothing dollars, and you can sit for hours. This is our office area, and we can’t let you sit here."

Chloe slowly raised her eyes, lazily looking around the empty seats in the surroundings before letting her eyes drop back down to her magazine. Remaining calm, she said, "I’m waiting for soone."

"Who are you waiting for?" Clearly not believing her, the receptionist replied with clear mockery in her voice.

She didn’t really care for such seemingly pretty yet superficial girls who, at such a young age, didn’t study properly and only thought about taking shortcuts.

Before Chloe could answer her, her phone vibrated.

[Alexander Foster: I’ll co down to pick you up.]

[Chloe Collins: No need, just tell the front desk to let

in, I’ll go up myself.]

[Alexander Foster: I’ll be down quickly.]

Feeling resigned, she thought: let him have his way.

Just as she put down her phone, she raised her head to see two security guards standing in front of her, with the receptionist from monts ago by their side.

"Kick her out," the receptionist ordered.

With stern faces, the two security guards addressed her: "Don’t make us use force, little girl."

Chloe lazily stood up, casually slinging her black backpack over her shoulder. Her carefree deanor showed in every movent.

"I told you, I’m waiting for soone. There’s really no need for this."

"Who are you waiting for? You have no business here; you’re clearly up to no good," replied the receptionist.

"What’s going on?"

A clear and bright female voice suddenly interjected.

Chloe glanced over casually, only to see a woman wearing a white professional suit approaching. She seed to be in her thirties, characterized by a refined beauty.

However, she exuded an innate chilly vibe, and even though she was quite attractive, she didn’t seem approachable at all, making it difficult to get along with her.
