Chapter 35: Chapter 35: Why Do You Want to Help ?

Chapter 35

Luna Lowell’s face turned pale, then she chuckled, "What nonsense are you talking about? I am my father’s daughter, so what’s wrong with him leaving the company to ? Do you dare question ?"

Soone laughed, "If so, why did your mother say those words to her lover?"

On this topic, Luna’s face flushed with anger, "That was just baseless gossip, deliberately hyped up by so people! Whoever believes it is stupid! I don’t have ti to waste on you."

With that, she left the seat and walked toward the doorway with her husband.

Layla Lowell bent one of her long legs and perched it on the chair, laughing, "No one is leaving until this issue is resolved."

"Resolved? The dia has no sha, and neither do you? I am your sister, do you dare deny it?"

"No, what do you want? Even if this is true, what does it have to do with the company? My father-in-law personally said that he would hand over the company to Luna, which is undoubtedly true. As for the news, that’s a family matter, which has nothing to do with you all." Luna’s husband chid anxiously.

Layla snorted, "So you admit it, huh?"

Luna retorted, "What am I admitting? This is just a supposition! Layla, don’t make a fool of yourself and cause more trouble. Already today, your childish behavior has cost the company!"

"Damage? Like, your face?" Layla stood up, towering over Luna with a much taller stature, sarcastically saying, "Single eyelids, garlic-like nose, conspicuous ears, tsk tsk, tell , neither your mother nor my father have these features, so how co you have them? Genetic mutation?"

At the end of those words, visible guilt appeared on Luna’s face.

A second later, she sneered, "I get it now. You’re just jealous that Dad left all the assets to , so you’re setting

up behind my back, Layla. You’re truly childish and selfish! Never thinking about the company or the family, no wonder Dad didn’t want to leave you anything!"

Without another word, she spun around and shouted to the board mbers, "Since I’m now the Chairman of the Lowells, I won’t... Ah!"

Before she could finish, Layla grabbed her hair and pulled her back, trying to slam her against the wall.

"What do you want? Let her go!"

Luna’s husband rushed over, only to be tripped by a chair that Layla effortlessly pushed away.

A few strands of hair stuck to the corner of Layla’s mouth, making her cold smile even more chilling, "Listen, if it’s proven that you’re not my father’s daughter, not only will I kick you out of the Lowells’ family, but I’ll also kick you out of the Capitol!"

Though terrified, Luna remained defiant, "Go ahead and make a fool of yourself, see if anyone cares."

Just as the situation reached a boiling point, soone knocked on the door and a voice announced, "Hello, I am the lawyer entrusted by Miss Layla Lowell. We have found strong evidence that Miss Luna Lowell is not the biological daughter of Mr. Luke Lowell."

Everyone’s expressions changed.

Layla looked suspicious and opened the door.

Outside, a man in a suit and leather shoes with docunts in hand walked in, showing them to everyone.

"These are the materials related to Ms. Charlotte Floyd giving birth to Miss Luna Lowell. They are sufficient to prove that she is not the biological daughter of Mr. Luke Lowell."

The arrival of the lawyer stirred a storm, leaving Luna and her husband no choice but to flee the conference hall in haste, discussing their next move.

Afterward, Layla kept the lawyer back, suspiciously eyeing him, "Who are you? Why are you helping ?"

The lawyer smiled, "Miss Lowell, please follow ."

Layla followed him down the stairs until they reached a Bentley car.

As the car door opened, her eyes lit up with amazent.

In the back seat, Chloe Collins slowly turned her head, her beautiful eyes full of interest as they looked Layla’s way.
