Chapter 328: Chapter 328: If I can die for you, do I even need to say it?
Chapter 328
A little later, Chloe Collins arrived.
She ca after finishing the matters at the police station and discussed the events with Charles.
After listening, Charles said, "Luna Lowell is seeking her own demise."
Even the lawyer said so, Luna Lowell was really done for.
Chloe glanced at the unconscious Layla and then at the blood stains on his body, and said, "Why don’t you go ho and take a bath first?"
In her mory, he was a fastidious man.
Only after hearing her say this, Charles looked down at himself and there was a sudden realization in his eyes.
He looked back at the person on the hospital bed and said, "What is she thinking in her head?"
As if he had been holding onto these words for a long ti, he finally spoke them now.
Chloe understood his aning and stared at Layla’s sleeping form, slowly saying, "For her, you are her only hope, and she won’t let you get hurt."
Layla was impulsive and never bothered to think things through, but her character was unquestionable.
Charles’s pupils trembled slightly, and he suddenly laughed, "Did she tell you that?"
Chloe raised her eyebrows, "She was willing to die for you, does she even need to say it?"
Charles fell silent, deep thoughts swirling in his eyes.
Chloe glanced at him, thought for a mont, and swallowed the words that were at the tip of her tongue.
Later, Layla woke up, her condition stable and improving.
At that ti, Chloe was in the corridor outside listening to Heijii reporting a strange incident, in which Timmy Collins was photographed by a pilgrim going up to the mountain to pray. The photo ended up on the front page of a news website, but within a short ti, the news vanished.
"Boss, look, the news was originally in this corner of the webpage, but in less than three minutes, it was gone. I couldn’t even save it for you."
Chloe looked at the small section, which now featured a short piece about a girl who had a near-death accident doing a flying experint at ho.
"This section is for strange news, it was really here just now. I have no idea why it was taken down."
Soone was helping her, that was for sure.
Who could it be?
-
At the sa ti, the Collinses were having dinner.
Both aunts were still there, not having gone ho, while their husbands had gone back due to company affairs.
Tessa Collins ca downstairs and saw only Raine Nolan at the table, so she asked, "Where are the brother and sister?"
Rosalind Taylor chid in, "Heng’er has been staying at the martial arts school these days, and Chlo-Chlo... "
She hesitated and looked at Tristan Collins. Just as she was about to speak, Tristan said, "Let’s just have dinner."
Tessa saw that her brother was deliberately changing the subject, but she would not play along, so she said, "You should just bring that child back ho. How does it look for her to always live at the Fosters? Second sister, don’t you think so?"
Tara Collins had no interest in ddling, so she pulled her mouth into a half-smile without expressing her stance.
However, this remark sent a shiver down Raine Nolan’s spine as she silently ate.
Bringing Chloe Collins back... wouldn’t that an she would lose her status?
It was already unstable at this ti!
She secretly looked at Tessa and began to regret letting soone give her a foot bath last night.
Just as she thought of this, it suddenly occurred to her about the dilemma she had faced that morning.
She was still torn whether or not to tell Tristan about the relationship between Lilian Pearce and Chloe Collins.
Later, she thought that maybe Tristan already knew?
After all, Chloe had been on the mountain for so many years, and perhaps Tristan occasionally asked about her.
