Chapter 229: Chapter 229: Scolding You for Being Young, Cunning, and Devious

Chapter 229

A rare seriousness appeared on Robert Foster’s face, his eyes sharp, "Wanda Wesley, that damn uncle."

"Wanda Wesley?" Layla Lowell was taken aback.

Chloe Collins guessed so of it and wasn’t too surprised, only asking, "Why?"

Robert Foster hesitated, thought for a mont, and said, "A beast that deserves to be beaten, just want to hit."

He then focused on eating.

Chloe suddenly thought of Wanda Wesley’s demolition compensation, that kind of thing, involving personal privacy, really not good to say.

Layla Lowell didn’t know the situation and asked him to speak.

Chloe looked at her and changed the subject: "Did your gift arrive?"

Layla Lowell’s face turned from sunny to cloudy: "It’s still being delivered, saying it will arrive at the school gate at two o’clock, don’t know if it will be punctual."

Robert Foster looked up, "What gift is so urgent?"

Layla Lowell said, "You don’t need to know."

Robert Foster didn’t ask any further.

After having enough to eat, Chloe Collins left the school alone in advance.

There was no class scheduled for the afternoon, and more than half of the students had already left, while a few still cherished their ti and continued to study.

Compared to the usually quiet school gate, there were occasionally a few people passing by.

Chloe Collins stood at the school gate, scanning her gaze, and focused on a fierce-looking, domineering brick-red cross-country car.

She then walked straight over to it.

Charles Carrington casually opened the co-pilot’s door, a cigarette dangling from his fingers, his eyes fixed on the approaching girl with smooth and fair skin, delicate eyebrows and eyes, and a slender figure.

His eyes narrowed.

In his mouth, he couldn’t help cursing quietly, "Why couldn’t I tell back then..."

Chloe got in the car and closed the door, indifferent: "What are you cursing

for?"

Charles Carrington showed a wild, debauched smile, "Cursing you for being cunning at such a young age, don’t you know?"

Chloe rested her head back and glanced at him, "Of course I know, if you think cursing a few words won’t relieve your anger, just go and announce it to the world that I bullied you, how about that?"

Her lips curved slightly.

Charles Carrington’s face darkened, his interest waned, he put out his cigarette, started the car, and drove away.

"Winning you today and taking Layla Lowell’s case along the way, I won’t shortchange you on the price."

Charles Carrington sneered, "Do I need that money?"

He spoke, then grew slightly serious: "I don’t plan on taking any cases this year, you don’t have to say it."

"Really? Are you sure it’s not because of ?"

Charles Carrington froze for a mont, then sent her a mischievous grin, "Yes, ninety-five percent is because of you, do you regret playing

now?"

Chloe lazily glanced at him, "Are you a man or not?"

Charles Carrington snorted, "Maybe I’m a woman, after all, back then soone looked like a man and fooled us all."

Chloe cursed under her breath and stopped talking, turning her head to look out the window and relaxing her mood.

The cross-country car drove into the Capitol International Racing Circuit. At this point, many fans were already gathered outside, most of them having minor fa as bloggers online, holding supportive signs and banners.

Charles Carrington’s car drove quietly, unnoticed, and entered the parking lot.

Inside, four people were already waiting.

Seeing him get out of the car, each person bowed out of respect.

"Charles."

Charles Carrington took out sunglasses from his chest pocket and put them on, striking a cool pose and responding with a cold "Hmm." Then, he turned his head to look at the co-pilot.

Chloe had already co over.

The person in charge saw her and was taken aback, "This is..."
