Chapter 226: Chapter 226: Giving You a Task

The chattering conversation of several people quickly woke up the dozing Robert Foster.

He released Chloe Collins’ clothes and opened his eyes to look at her: "What’s going on, what are they doing?"

As soon as his words fell, his eyes widened in surprise: "Isn’t that our classmate, Wanda Wesley?"

He pointed to the second-floor balcony.

Chloe also saw Wanda, who looked well-dressed and was anxiously looking down at the main gate.

"Hey—Wanda, good morning!"

Robert’s shout suddenly sounded in her ear.

Chloe glanced at him, "Are you out of your mind?"

Robert: "What?"

Chloe was speechless and looked toward the Wesley’s house.

Upon hearing Robert’s shout, those people imdiately looked up, becoming agitated.

"Wandy, co down."

"Hurry up and open the door for us!"

"How can you lock your elders outside? Your mom would kill you if she found out. Hurry down and open the door!"

Seeing their reaction, Wanda quickly ran back into her room.

Chloe also stepped forward and started walking.

As they approached the doorway, Wanda didn’t co out to open the door.

Suddenly, Chloe noticed sothing and looked towards the window at the back of the second floor.

Robert was still looking inside the doorway.

Wanda’s uncle sized him up and asked, "Hey kid, what’s your relationship with our little Wandy?"

Robert sized him up as well: "Just classmates. Who are you? Why are you making a ruckus outside soone’s house so early in the morning?"

He wasn’t stupid; looking at their appearances, these three didn’t seem like decent people.

Wanda’s uncle chuckled: "Soone’s house? This is my sister’s house."

Chloe thought for a mont, casually grabbed the back of Robert’s collar, and whispered in his ear, "I have a task for you: chat with them for half an hour before leaving."

"Ah? Why?"

"Don’t you not want to go to class?"

"It’s not that... What should I... "

Before Robert could understand, she let go of his clothes and walked away.

"Hey, young man, call Wanda out and hurry up."

Robert’s attention was instantly drawn, and he looked at the three people with a slightly guarded gaze.

"Are you really her relatives? You don’t look like it."

Which relatives would be blocked from entering and left standing outside?

Over on the other side, Chloe had already arrived at the back of the small cottage, and as expected, she saw Wanda climbing down the water pipe.

She seed a bit unskilled, and as she suddenly sensed sothing, she stiffened and clung to the water pipe like a sloth, slowly looking down.

"Tang, Tang, Classmate?"

Chloe looked at her, "Do you need

to catch you?"

Wanda pursed her lips, feeling a little embarrassed, "No need, I’ll be down in a mont."

Saying that, she loosened her grip on the pipe and slid down all at once.

She couldn’t help but scan the surrounding area.

"Don’t worry, those three people won’t notice you for now. Let’s go."

After that, Chloe walked forward.

Wanda looked back suspiciously. At the front gate, her three relatives had their backs to her, and were pulling at Robert while trying to explain the nature of their relationship with her.

With a serious and puzzled expression on his face, Robert didn’t notice anything happening on this side.

"Robert, he... "

"Don’t worry about him, he’s just idling around."

Wanda was surprised and couldn’t help but look back at Robert again.

It wasn’t long before the two of them reached the schoolyard.

Wanda couldn’t help but say, "Robert isn’t here yet. Maybe I should go back and have a look."

"Wait a minute." Chloe turned around.
