Chapter 222: Chapter 222: Enthusiastic Milk Tea
Chapter 222
Before the chemistry competition, Lilian Pearce approached the classroom door to find Chloe Collins.
It happened to be lunchti, and all the students were leaving one after another.
Lilian Pearce stood at the door waiting for her, intending to make a friendly invitation: "Chlo-Chlo, the teacher has cooked pork bone broth, want to go and have so together?"
Chloe Collins recalled turning her down twice before but had so spare ti, so she agreed.
This teacher had offered her much help in the past, so she needed to show her gratitude.
Lilian Pearce led her to the school’s classroom dormitory, where she lived alone.
Before they went in, they caught a whiff of the warm and savory aroma of cooked food, which whetted their appetites.
Lilian Pearce had prepared four dishes and a soup, quite a feast.
At that mont, footsteps were heard outside, and Mia Nolan walked in carrying several cups of milk tea.
Mia glanced at Chloe, covering her dislike in her eyes, walked over and placed the milk teas on the table.
"Mom, I bought milk tea."
Lilian Pearce saw three cups and was instantly delighted.
It appeared that her daughter had co to her senses.
"Go wash your hands and co eat."
Mia Nolan said nothing, placing a large cup of iced milk tea in front of Chloe Collins, "Here, I rember you like this flavor, right?"
Chloe looked at her and expressed her gratitude.
Glancing at Lilian Pearce in the kitchen, she subconsciously wanted to go over to help, but before she could get up, Mia exclaid.
"You’re a guest, so have a seat. You don’t need to do anything."
After finishing her sentence, Mia turned and walked into the kitchen, saying, "Mom, sit down. I’ll ladle the bone broth soup."
Lilian Pearce was delighted to see her daughter being so diligent, and agreed with a happy response while bringing out a plate of freshly stir-fried green vegetables.
"Take a larger bowl."
"I know."
Lilian Pearce walked out and casually asked Chloe about her recent situation and the chemistry competition.
The al was quite enjoyable.
That was until, under Mia’s insistence, Chloe took her first sip of milk tea.
Suddenly, her calm expression faltered.
"What’s wrong, doesn’t it taste good?" Mia Nolan stared at her intently.
Chloe took a look at Lilian Pearce, noticing her happy appearance.
She calmly swallowed the sip of milk tea and said, "It’s quite good."
"If it’s good, then drink it all. I don’t want to waste money." Mia muttered, picking up her chopsticks and eating her al.
The milk tea she drank was different from Chloe’s -- it was Pudding Milk Tea, while Lilian Pearce had Traditional Pearl Milk Tea.
So, the three milk teas wouldn’t get mixed up, and they couldn’t possibly grab the wrong one.
Throughout the al, Mia frequently glanced at Chloe Collins, and noticing that she had barely touched her milk tea, her heart raced.
She had added the most potent laxative to the milk tea -- five tis the normal dosage -- which would surely make anyone feel exhausted after drinking it. Even if they took dicine, they couldn’t recover imdiately.
Perhaps they wouldn’t have any energy to walk tomorrow, let alone take the test.
One needs to be 100% focused during an exam, and any physical discomfort would be detrintal.
With this thought, Mia pushed the milk tea towards Chloe and said, "Keep drinking, there’s still so much left. You’ve had so many spicy peppers, this will help wash it down."
Chloe simply smiled faintly, glancing at Lilian Pearce, who had already finished her Pearl Milk Tea.
She offered her own Matcha Milk Tea to the teacher, "Teacher, if you can’t handle the spiciness, don’t eat too many peppers."
Lilian Pearce was panting from the spiciness, laughing, "I could eat them before, but now I don’t know why I can’t stand it. Go ahead and drink your milk tea, little Cai bought it for you, I’ll get so water."
A nervous Mia Nolan hurriedly chid in, "Yeah, I bought it for you, drink it all!"
Chloe unflustered replied, "I’m sorry, I didn’t ntion it earlier, but I am on my period these days."
