Chapter 20: Chapter 20: Just So-So
Chapter 20
After all this fuss, the first class was wasted. The remaining classes were physics, so she didn’t go back to the classroom.
During the recent month, because so senior high school physics teachers were on a business trip, only three teachers were left for the whole grade. Therefore, three classes were scheduled to have a combined lecture at the sa ti.
Before she even reached the classroom door, soone called out to her from behind.
A girl wearing glasses, holding a stack of exercise books, ran towards her. She was the study committee mber of their class.
"Chloe, where’s your math howork?"
Chloe Collins walked leisurely without looking back, "I didn’t do it."
"Ah? You didn’t do it again." The study committee mber pulled a face and continued, "Professor Grant is very strict. He said last ti you didn’t turn it in, this is your last chance. If you don’t hand it in this ti, you’ll be in trouble next class."
"Where’s the bathroom?" Chloe Collins suddenly asked.
The study committee mber paused for a second, then pointed in a direction, "Over there, there."
"Thanks." Chloe Collins walked towards the bathroom.
After a few steps, she felt soone was following her.
She glanced back, "Why are you following ?"
"The stairway over there connects to the Drears class, which is mostly boys. They are very frivolous, and it’s not good for you to go alone."
Chloe Collins stopped and looked back at her with a hint of smile, "So, you want to protect ?"
The study committee mber looked into Chloe’s calm and bright eyes, and her face inexplicably turned red.
Although Chloe Collins was a girl, there was a carefree charm in her eyes that only boys had.
"I-I didn’t an that..." The study committee mber lowered her head to explain.
As the words left her lips, a mocking whistle sounded from afar.
The study committee mber turned her head and saw her face turned even redder, and beca anxious, "Chloe, let’s go, they’re coming!"
Not far away, about seven or eight boys ca along, and a few of them took up almost the entire walkway. The leading boy had unbuttoned a few buttons of his school uniform, revealing his malnourished chest.
As they got closer, the study committee mber hid behind Chloe Collins, her face flushed like a ripe persimmon.
The boy with the exposed chest stared at Chloe Collins and smiled sowhat lewdly, "Hey, transfer student, I heard you got into a fight with Layla Lowell just now? If you can’t win, I’ll help you, as long as you agree to be my... Hey! I’m talking to you, stop! Stop!"
Seeing Chloe Collins not even bothering to look at him, the boy instantly beca irritable.
The other boys laughed, their laughter very ill-mannered. Only a neatly dressed boy frowned.
"Diego, your flirting skills are on the wane, you’re dood."
"Shut up!"
Diego Willis glared at the other boys and then turned to the well-dressed boy beside him, "Anders, isn’t Chloe Collins pretty? I wasn’t wrong, was I?"
Anders Spence showed a cold expression, "Average."
He walked forward.
Diego Willis was baffled, is that what you call average?
Soone reminded him, "Bro, don’t you rember? Our Anders only shows interest in Cherry Foster, have you ever seen him look at any other girl more than once?"
"Yeah, Cherry Foster is from key class, and this transfer student, besides being pretty, is quite ordinary. She has no charm; just a face. After looking at it for a while, it would get tireso. We should pursue inner beauty."
Diego Willis was still confused and didn’t understand.
The group talked as they entered the lecture hall.
Anders Spence had walked a few steps ahead of them, and at this mont, had already taken a seat beside a girl.
