Chapter 188: Chapter 188: Planning

Chapter 188

She roared, full of indignation.

Not only did this incident damage the impression the Fosters had of her, but it was also extrely detrintal to her future developnt in the fragrance industry!

Now, she feared that even Edgar Foster would not want to continue employing her as a researcher.

After all, when she checked her phone, Cherry hadn’t sent her a single text.

Clearly, she didn’t care about her at all!

She was finished.

This realization made her crumble, unable to maintain her rationality.

Rosalind Taylor gave her a glass of water and said, "Calm down first. There’s no use crying now. The damage is done!"

"And you were foolish to bring this upon yourself. If you hadn’t frad Chloe Collins, maybe things wouldn’t have gotten so bad. At most, they would have accused you of lacking fragrance-making skills! Now it’s escalated to an issue of your character. Really, what were you thinking?"

Raine Nolan hung her head, unable to refute her mother.

Rosalind Taylor took back her gaze, stood up, supported her belly, and paced back and forth a few tis, sorting out her thoughts in her head.

"I didn’t expect that manual to create such a ss," she murmured.

Indeed, she had found the manual in a small crevice covered with a thick layer of dust. She had only browsed through the first few pages and thought it was pretty good, so she kept it.

During this ti, she had been preoccupied with her unborn child and hadn’t paid much attention to Raine.

In hindsight, if she had taken a closer look at the manual when Raine raised objections, it wouldn’t have turned into this ss.

Sighing, she turned around and looked at her daughter, saying seriously, "Now that it’s co to this, your father will definitely not let you off easily. This ti, I’m afraid I won’t be able to protect you."

Raine’s eyes trembled, "Mom, what should I do? I don’t want to be kicked out. Where would I stay if I’m kicked out?"

Rosalind Taylor thought for a mont and said, "I know your father’s personality. Apologizing won’t help much. The best way to handle this is to make him see your value again."

"I’ll have soone from my family pick you up tomorrow, and you can stay with them for a while. When the opportunity arises, I’ll bring you back."

Raine panicked, "When will the opportunity co? I still need to go to school and take exams."

Rosalind Taylor said, "Of course, it won’t affect your studies. Aren’t you participating in the Chemistry Competition next week? Chloe Collins is also enrolled. Wait for the preliminary round results. If you make it to the finals, your father will probably calm down. Otherwise, if you go back now, you’ll just beco his punching bag, and even if you mop the floors for a week, he might not forgive you."

And she was not willing to let her daughter mop the floors again.

Last ti, Raine had only taken a note from Diego Willis, and Tristan Collins had punished her by making her mop the entire house. This ti, the situation was much more severe, and it probably wouldn’t be resolved just by mopping floors.

So, it was better to hide for a while.

Raine choked up for a mont and said, "Then I’ll listen to you."

Rosalind Taylor continued, "Write a letter of self-criticism later, and make it sincere. I’ll give it to your father. And even if you’re at your grandmother’s house, you should still text him now and then to show concern for him, but don’t call—just keep it to the texts. Also, tomorrow, go see Edgar Foster and apologize in person. Don’t change clothes; just wear your hospital gown."

Raine frowned, "That’s so embarrassing."

"Do you still have any face left? It’s all gone! The only thing you have to do now is to salvage your image!"
