Chapter 162: Chapter 162: Group Drinking
Chapter 162: Drinking Together
On the other side, after eating lunch in the cafeteria, Chloe Collins left school with Layla Lowell.
Neither of them wanted to take a nap, so they went to a nearby entertainnt center to pass the ti.
After changing into ice skates, the two went in and skated for a while.
Chloe skated aimlessly for a bit then retreated to the edge, leaning against the railing.
Opposite her was a huge electronic screen on the second floor, where authoritative financial news was playing on a channel.
Suddenly, she saw a familiar face.
The host’s gentle voice explained, "It is a great honor to have Mr. Alexander Foster, the president of Foster Bank, on our show..."
In the scene, the man’s calm and elegant face exuded composure. His deep voice answered the host’s questions unhurriedly, and a mature and steady aura emanated from him. He seed like a snow lotus on an icy cliff, breathtaking and unapproachable.
Even the host beside him couldn’t help but lose control slightly, her eyes shy and her smile rippling.
The surrounding won all stopped and looked up at the man on the television, their eyes filled with admiration.
The faint annoyance from earlier awakened at the bottom of Chloe’s heart.
She averted her gaze and smoothly slid into the skating rink.
Within a few minutes, she had left the rink.
Layla Lowell had also changed her shoes and walked out with her.
When the two went outside, there happened to be a newsstand nearby.
She casually glanced up and, inexplicably, saw the cover of an authoritative economics magazine with Alexander Foster’s face on it.
The matte photo made him look even more high-end and deep.
If it weren’t for the text, one might have thought he was a hugely popular movie star.
She furrowed her brow and quickly looked away.
What was going on today? She seed to bump into this man everywhere she went.
During the afternoon self-study class, the whole class was discussing the incident from the morning in whispers. Chloe was dealing with ssages on her phone.
Quite coincidentally, all the ssages were asking her to go out for drinks.
Undeterred, Rolo Woods still wanted to invite her out after failing last ti.
She thought about it and agreed.
Her mood today was very suitable for drinking.
When class ended, Diego Willis handed her a gift, "Hehe, this is to thank you for tutoring ; you must accept it."
Chloe looked at him indifferently, "No need to thank ."
She returned the gift.
Diego insisted, "Co on, seriously, I just want to thank you; there’s no other aning."
Chloe looked at him, her eyes deepening, "You really want to thank ?"
"Yes." Diego was quite sincere.
Chloe leaned back in her chair, "How’s your alcohol tolerance?"
Diego was stunned for a mont, "Tolerance? It’s pretty good; so far no one has outdrunk ."
Hearing this, Chloe said, "Then let’s go to the bar."
This statent startled several people nearby.
Lydia Lowell raised her eyebrows, "You’re going to drink?"
"Yeah, just like that." Chloe’s voice was very light.
Over at Rolo’s side, he said he would bring a few mbers who were her fans. All of them were good drinkers.
"Then count
in," said Lydia.
"I’m going too, I’m going too," chid in Robert Foster.
Chloe was indifferent, "Can you drink?"
Robert Foster snorted, "My nickna is ’unbeatable drinker’, understand?"
Chloe raised her eyebrows, "I hope so."
Jason Spence glanced at them with slight disdain before lowering his head to continue reading.
However, his thoughts couldn’t help but drift their way.
After school that afternoon, the group left the school grounds and headed straight for Southvale’s Riverside.
Rolo Woods was already waiting there with six fans, two of whom were girls.
