Chapter 157: Chapter 157: Get Ready to Kneel Down and Apologize
Chapter 157
Mr. Curtis glanced at them, not too happy, but still turned around to lead them in and brought up the surveillance footage.
Chloe Collins stood behind, watching him operate indifferently.
Suddenly, when the progress bar reached the mont Wanda Wesley appeared, it turned into snowflakes.
In the next scene, it jumped directly to Wanda Wesley standing in front of the water dispenser.
"What about the middle part!"
"No way, this is so weird?"
Mr. Curtis frowned and checked it, saying, "It looks like soone tampered with it. We cannot restore it now."
"What should we do then!" Claire pulled a long face.
Mr. Curtis glanced at the ti, extrely impatient.
His job was to train students in computer skills, not to be involved in such unrelated matters.
"Since that’s the case, let’s talk about it after class. You three go first, we have a class now."
Layla Lowell sneered, "Aren’t you supposed to be experts in this field? You can’t even handle this, and you still want to participate in the Olympiad."
The disdain made Mr. Curtis and several students unhappy.
Mr. Curtis looked at Wanda Wesley, his brow furrowing, "There are several other classes next to Class 8. Are the water dispensers in all those classes out of water too? Why do you have to co here for water?"
His gaze was scrutinizing.
Wanda Wesley hesitated and did not speak, as if she had so unspeakable secret.
Upon hearing this, Claire beca more confident and stepped in front of Wanda Wesley, saying, "Teacher, I told you it was her, it must be her! Nobody ca in just now while we all went to the eting. I put my stuff in a place where it could be seen clearly."
As she said this, she walked to her own seat and pointed to a spot.
Suddenly, she saw sothing and bent over to pick it up.
The crowd followed her over.
"Claire, what is that?" Mr. Curtis asked, his face serious.
Claire opened her palm, and there lay a black beaded hairband.
"This isn’t mine!" Wanda Wesley said.
"If it’s not yours, whose is it? You’re the only one here with your hair tied up, and who still uses such an outdated hairband in this day and age?" A girl said.
Mia Nolan bit her lip and echoed, "Exactly, Wanda Wesley, stop making excuses. Just apologize to Claire. Even though saliva isn’t worth much, stealing is wrong. If word gets out, it won’t be good for Affiliated High School either."
Everyone’s faces were serious, including Mr. Curtis’s.
More than half of the class ti had passed, and he still had many knowledge points left to teach.
"Apologize quickly, or it won’t be good for anyone if this reaches the Academic Affairs Office. At such a young age, why don’t you learn sothing good?"
Wanda Wesley’s eyes reddened, "I didn’t steal, really."
A group of people rolled their eyes irritably, looking at Wanda Wesley as if she was a criminal.
Mr. Curtis took out his phone, "If you don’t confess, I’ll turn you over to the Academic Affairs Office. Having a black mark on your record will be detrintal to your future life."
Wanda Wesley felt wronged to the point of explosion, as if a knife was being held to her neck, threatening her to confess.
Just then, a "got it" signal ca from the central control console.
Everyone turned around to see Layla Lowell standing beside Chloe Collins, looking at the computer and smiling slyly.
And Chloe Collins was sitting in a chair, operating their computer.
"Hey! Don’t ss around!" Mr. Curtis said sternly.
Layla Lowell glanced over with her almond-shaped eyes, "Get ready to kneel and apologize."
As soon as her words fell, there was a patter, as if Chloe Collins had pressed the Enter key. Then, the sa scene appeared on all the computers in the computer lab.
