Chapter 138: Chapter 138: This Is Not How to Chase a Girl

Chapter 138

Chloe hadn’t opened her eyes. In the night as smooth as water, a cool breeze gently brushed her skin, and then she heard a faint sigh.

Soon after, a coat carrying warmth was draped over her body, mixed with a mild fragrance. It was warm and comforting.

This warmth blended well with the cool breeze, making her feel cozy and pleasant.

She slowly drifted off to sleep.

After an unknown amount of ti, she was awakened by countless complex, chaotic noises which gave her a headache.

When she opened her eyes, she saw the Fosters’ parking lot, quiet and serene.

But her left ear was bombarded by waves of chaotic noise.

She touched her ear, and realized that her hearing aid had fallen out.

"Looking for this?"

Chloe turned her gaze to see Alexander Foster holding a soft white ball between his fingers – it was her hearing aid.

It indeed had fallen out.

She stretched out her hand: "Give it to ."

"What’s wrong with your ear? Why do you need to put this in it?"

Chloe grabbed the hearing aid, opened the door and got out, dropping a few words, "Mind your own business."

Alexander’s eyes concealed a touch of helplessness.

Just as he was about to leave, a laugh sounded in his ear.

The next second, he saw Alan Foster.

Second Brother, your approach will not work," he said with a smile in his eyes, tinged with a hint of ridicule.

Alexander spoke indifferently, "A failed pursuer trying to give

advice?"

Alan chuckled, "Second Brother, who told you that baseless rumor? When have I ever failed? I’ve dated so many tis and every single ti, it’s

who dumped the other person."

"That only proves you have poor taste."

Alexander’s gaze was cold; he slowly walked away with his car keys.

Feeling ignored, Alan felt a little frustrated and chased after him.

"Second Brother, listen to . Love isn’t like a business deal. Won are more complex than signing contracts. Look at , what do I look like?"

Alan straightened his back, raised his chin, and tried to show off the kiss marks on his neck. These were the symbols of his success.

Alexander said coldly, "A scumbag."

Alan was speechless, "How am I a scumbag? I’m just trying to make every girl who likes

happy. You don’t understand, with won, you must never chase them actively. Once you do, you’ll lose value. The best proof is when she just ignored you and walked away."

In the realm of love, Alan considered himself the most successful among the four Foster grandsons, while the most unsuccessful was undoubtedly his Second Brother, who had no romantic history.

Alexander shifted his gaze away and said lightly, "If you have too much free ti, go run a few laps."

Seeing that he was really leaving, Alan quickly brought up the important matter: "Second Brother, you know about Camille, right? She’s in the capital now and will start working in my lab tomorrow."

"Mm."

Alexander replied flatly and then walked away.

Alan was not satisfied with this outco.

He initially wanted to test Alexander to see if he was nervous. If he was nervous, he must be unprepared.

But if he was not nervous, it was highly likely that he had done sothing behind their backs.

Unfortunately, Alexander had always been apathetic and cold since childhood, making it hard to discern his emotions.

After thinking about it, Alan decided to invite Camille to their house soti and let his two older brothers see his capabilities.

Chloe returned to the East Wing where Evelyn Thompson was waiting for her.

"Chlo-Chlo, more than a dozen newspapers want to interview you. Also, several calligraphy enthusiasts want to schedule a eting to chat with you. What do you think?"

It was precisely because Chloe disliked such social engagents that she tried to keep a low profile. She whispered, "Please help

refuse them. No interviews."
