Chapter 129: Chapter 129: Late Arrival

Chapter 129

After the one-hour Grand Assembly ca to an end, it was ti for the class etings.

Students and parents gradually left the hall.

Since Lilian Pearce had to host her own class eting, she was unable to go to Chloe Collins’ class eting.

It didn’t really bother Chloe as she walked out of the hall with Layla Lowell and headed towards the classroom together.

Rosalind Taylor and Raine Nolan were a bit slower, as Rosalind had also discussed Raine’s upcoming Chemistry competition with her teacher. As a result, they were the last ones to leave.

As they exited, they bumped into a tall man in a black suit, looking extrely stern.

Alexander Foster and his assistant were walking towards them, urgency apparent on their faces.

Seeing him, Rosalind Taylor and Raine Nolan stopped in their tracks, exchanged glances, and were quite taken aback.

What was he doing here at this ti?

"Raine, Isn’t Robert Foster’s parent-teacher eting supposed to be attended by his mother?"

Raine also felt it strange and had a bad feeling in her heart.

At this mont, Alexander Foster had already reached the doorway.

So of the leaders at the entrance recognized him and imdiately stepped forward to greet him respectfully.

"Mr. Foster, why are you here?"

Alexander Foster’s face remained expressionless, "Has the parent-teacher eting ended?"

A leader answered with a smile, "Not completely. The Grand Assembly just ended, and the students are heading to their classrooms now. Your brother’s classroom is on the third floor..."

"Where is the classroom for class 18?" Alexander Foster interrupted him indifferently.

The leader was confused, did Robert Foster transfer to class 18?

"Uh, class 18 is also on the third floor. Let

take you there."

Alexander Foster hurriedly headed towards the Teaching Building.

His assistant followed him closely.

He wiped the sweat from his forehead, thankful that he hadn’t completely missed it.

Who would believe that a President of a financial group, who had just secured a major deal, would drop everything to attend a small parent-teacher eting at his brother’s school after glancing at his phone?

Behind him, Raine Nolan had a terrible look on her face.

As she had suspected.

Rosalind Taylor pondered, "It seems Alexander Foster may indeed be infatuated with that girl. It’s no wonder your father is so anxious to have her co back to the Collinses."

Raine sighed, "What’s the use, she isn’t stupid enough to be incurable. She obviously knows it’s better to cling to the Fosters."

Rosalind Taylor managed to control her emotions and said, "It’s not over yet. Don’t think too much about it. Let’s go back to the classroom."

Inside class 18, the class eting had not yet officially started, and there were still ten minutes of break ti.

Layla Lowell asked Heijii to sit beside Chloe Collins, while she looked for sothing in her bag.

She hadn’t eaten breakfast, and she had so bread in her bag.

Heijii looked enviously at the surroundings, leaning in to Chloe Collins and said, "Boss, I’m so jealous of you guys who are still students. During my school days, our teachers always told us to cherish our ti, and we didn’t care. Now, I realize that the best ti in life is the ti spent as a student."

Chloe gave him a glance, "If you miss school so much, how about finishing the rest of my courses for ?"

Heijii grinned, "If I could, I really would..."

He couldn’t finish saying the word "would" as he froze in place.

At the mont he turned his head, he saw the strikingly handso man standing at the back door.

"Boss, Alexander Foster’s here."

Chloe did not seem surprised. She continued to flip through the comic book in her hand and responded casually, "Mm-hmm."

Heijii understood; she’d probably noticed long before he did.

"Boss, he’s coming in. He looks really angry... He...he seems like he wants to beat

up..."

After saying that, Heijii obediently got up and moved away from Chloe Collins, sitting down next to Layla Lowell in a rush. In his haste, he accidentally bumped into her.

Layla Lowell’s temper almost flared up as she pinched him to death.

Alexander Foster looked at the girl sitting calmly and reading next to an empty chair. He then glanced at the seat where Heijii had just sat.

He pulled out the chair and sat down.

His voice was light and clear, "I was in a eting earlier. I didn’t see the Master’s ssage."

The assistant raised his eyebrows, astonished.

My goodness! Was his boss just making an explanation?

It’s worth recording!
