Chapter 118: Chapter 118: You Really Have No Sha

Chapter 118

The look in her eyes was full of anticipation.

Alex’s lips parted, about to speak, when the girl next to him voiced out first, "What would Grandpa like to see?"

Sophia Ford chuckled, "What do you an by that, kid? Are you saying that whatever Grandpa wants to see, you can do?"

Chloe Collins didn’t respond, she just quietly looked at the old man.

The old man’s eyes flickered and upon eting Alex’s gaze, he laughed, "The kid has already given

a wonderful gift. It is alti now, let’s not have her busy. Let’s eat."

The intense look in Alex’s eyes faded. He moved his gaze away from his grandfather’s face and proactively served Chloe so food, "Listen to grandpa."

Sophia Ford didn’t seem satisfied and said, "Dad, what gift did Chole give you?"

The old man was overjoyed, "This child knew that I love calligraphy, and gave

a genuine work of a veteran calligrapher, so thoughtful."

"A veteran calligrapher?" Sophia Ford was pondering. The old man didn’t even ntion the na, and it was brought by Chloe Collins. Surely, it mustn’t be famous.

She made eye contact with Rosalind Taylor across the table and said faintly, "What’s the calligrapher’s na? How does he compare to people like Primordial, Rolo Woods?"

The old man looked down and chuckled, without intending to answer the question.

"He is not comparable to these nobodies." Chloe said lightly.

Sophia Ford was taken aback, then she exchanged looks with other elders nearby who all quietly laughed.

"Chloe, you don’t understand this field. Rolo is the chairman of the National Calligraphy Association. He will be here soon. Thanks to Grandpa, you’ll get a chance to watch him write in person, then you will know who the real nobodies are."

Cherry Foster raised an eyebrow, "Primordial is even better. He... anyways you won’t understand even if I tell you. Soon, Anders Spence will bring him on the stage for a performance. You should observe carefully. Next ti, don’t casually give out such insignificant works."

After saying this, she sighed and looked quite helpless.

Alex frowned.

The old man intervened, "Okay, let’s just enjoy the performance."

Next up on the performance was Anders Spence with Primordial.

On the stage, four won in traditional costus were placed in each corner, each playing a long flute, Guqin, Pipa, and Konghou respectively, performing a low-pitched and elegant piece.

Anders Spence and a plump middle-aged man in a long robe started to draw and write in the center.

The drawing was ’The Eight Immortals Pay Homage to Longevity’, the writing were auspicious phrases like ’May your fortune be as boundless as the East Sea and may your life span to the South Mountain’.

Among the audience, not many truly knew about calligraphy and ancient paintings, but mostly they all appreciated art and watched quietly.

The ones who were more knowledgeable introduced the backgrounds of these two perforrs to the people around them.

Cherry Foster looked at the old man and smiled, "Grandpa, to please you, this young man Anders Spence had spent quite a long ti learning from Master Primordial. Isn’t he very thoughtful?"

The old man nodded with a smile. Yet, deep down in his eyes, he seed to be lost in thought.

The next second, Cherry Foster they stopped laughing. She said to Chloe Collins, "Did you see that? This is a real calligraphy master. Has it opened your eyes?"

Chloe was drinking water. Hearing this, she gave a cold glance, put down her glass, looked at the stage and nonchalantly said, "The mimicry is indeed well-done. If they put this effort into so serious work, they would definitely earn a lot. It’s a pity, there won’t be another chance in the future."

"You really have no sha, when you cannot compete you say people are faking. This was arranged by Anders through the Calligraphy Association, how can it be fake?" Cherry Foster chided.
