Alfred smiled.

Right now, he was in the Wyatt Enterprises building and if he should add, his son-in-law was taking good care of the company.

His smile increased with the thoughts of how the majestic building and workplace would be his soon.

Nicklaus should take good care of it in the anti until he - Alfred was ready to take over.

All he has to do was to hit Logan with the right amount of waves and in no ti, that little mouth of his would speak up.

The elevator stopped at the last floor and he did well to walk out of it. His service was enjoyable.

Whereas, who would dare treat their boss father-in-law in any way lesser? Still in his thought, a man dressed in a three-piece blue suit walked up to him, and from his aura, Alfred knew imdiately that he was soone who hold a high position here in the company.

Arranging the buttons of his suit coat, Alfred smiled at the man wildly, "I’m the CEO’s father-in-law," he bragged without being asked with an air of pride.

The earlier he let all of Nicklaus’s workers know his position, the better for him or, so he thought.

Nicklaus PA rolled his eyes at Alfred but, he still kept a respectful appearance. To his boss, family matters first so he has to keep up with the so-called father-in-law’s conceited attitude.

Nodding slightly in acknowledgnt of Alfred’s declaration, he led the way.

Alfred scanned the whole place and marveled. He thought his company was the best in size, style, and planning but today, his eyes are seeing one a million tis cooler than his and this made him frown.

"If Arissa doesn’t keep to the plan, she would be as good as dead," he promised himself as his throat longed to acquire the wealth before him with raw greed in his eyes.

The PA stopped before the CEO’s office and since Nicklaus was already inford of his father in law arrival, he opened the door after a knock.

Alfred alone walked in with a high aura. He has heard a lot about the Wyatt boy and he feels proud to be in the mysterious man’s presence that even skipped his marriage.

Nicklaus’s cold eyes did not leave Alfred for a second and this almost reduced Alfred’s pride because this young man’s stare was more domineering than his.

Alfred cleared his throat as he took a seat himself without being offered and this reduced his point in Nicklaus’s personality checkbook.

Seeing the Wyatt boy for the first ti, Alfred could not help but admire him. His temperant and aura were everything a man would wish to have because it alone controls the next person.

"Nice eting you Nicklaus," Alfred spoke up first because from Nicklaus’s aura, he already noticed he was a straight-to-the-point man so, he did the greetings.

"Mmh," Nicklaus tried to acknowledge. And honoring his mother’s teachings, he managed to ask, "Is there anything you would want to offer," he asked politely but still, his voice was extrely dominant and this made Alfred swallow so saliva.

And he began to have doubts if Arissa would be able to handle this man.

His presence alone is terrifying but no matter what, he must have this company.

Maintaining his composure with a little chuckle, "I did not plan to stay for long," he declined the offer, and his warm attitude made Nicklaus crock his left brow.

"Go on then," Nicklaus permitted.

"I was hoping that you and your wife would grace my auction with your presence," Alfred began. His voice was irritable slow and pretentiously respectful.

"I spoke to your wife already but she declined it. So, I was hoping that you can persuade her into coming along with you."

He paused.

Nicklaus’s expression was board and noticing that his father-in-law was waiting for his reply, he sat up. His lips parting, he corrected, "My wife has a mind of her own Mr Lincoln, and if she declined your request, I guess it would stay that way on her path. I have no plans to force her into accepting anything,"

Alfred’s brow raised to the courteousness in Nicklaus’s voice and imdiately, he insisted, "You have all right to make her do things, son,"

Nicklaus’s expression darkened with suspicions and Alfred shut his mouth and breathing beca hard for him.

Realizing Nicklaus did not appreciate his words, he quickly adjusted his tie.

"What makes you think I would force her into doing things?" Nicklaus asked Alfred intensely and his voice was extrely stern.

He just realized sothing just now unknown to Alfred and also, the terms of Arissa’s agreent seem to be unfolding in his head most suitably.

Small sweats trickled down Alfred’s back divider bone as Nicklaus demanded an answer from his gaze.

"Nothing. I just extrely need her presence so, I wasn’t thinking,"

Nicklaus blinked.

"I’m a very busy man and I would not make it," Nicklaus ntioned, "And for my wife, she has her decisions to herself,"

He’s already questioning why his daughter would reject attending a function held by him and at the sa ti, he’s already seeing a few reasons why Arissa accepted the marriage.

Alfred nodded his head.

And eting Nicklaus’s eyes, he realized that the man was hard rock stubborn and now, he would have to look for what to explain to Logan.

This was his only way to force her down there but it seems like all n are not himself.

"How was Arissa like as a little kid?" Nicklaus changed the topic with interest looking intensely at Alfred.

Alfred frowned imdiately. He did not co for this.

But still, he managed to try adding up the few he knows, "When she was nine and younger, she was a loving kid to everyone around her, both humans and pets alike. She...." his voice trailed off not knowing what to add there.

Nicklaus’s eyes squinted. Seriously? He doesn’t know a page about his daughter?

Alfred felt a bit embarrassed.

But then, he brushed it off. He doesn’t need to be. Whereas, he wasn’t her real father.

"Well, as said, I would not be able to attend your audition and for my wife, the choice is her’s to make," Nicklaus spoke up releasing Alfred the burden of ending the awkward question about Arissa.

Standing up, Nicklaus stretched out his hand which Alfred took in his, and with a tight handshake, Alfred announced his departure while thinking about the next strategy to surrender Arissa as Logan wants.

Nicklaus placed both of his fists into balls under his chin and watched Alfred walk out of his office the mont the door was closed behind Alfred, Nicklaus brought the files about Alfred out to his view to read.
