The nightmare repeated itself.

The bang sound from a gunshot could be heard from her nightmare and she imdiately opened her eyes with a start.

Arissa would have jumped out of the bed had it not been for the weight on her chest. Her heartbeat fastened and sweat rolled down her back.

Each ti the dream reoccurs, it becos longer and clearer. Surprisingly, the nightmare this ti around featured herself in it, and for so reason, she held the gun that ended Nicklaus.

She parted her lips and let out shaky breaths, trying to push the part of the dream where she raised the gun and pointed it at him.

She heard the bang sound from the gun and imdiately, Nicklaus dropped to the floor and lay in the pool of his blood. She saw the look of disbelief in his eyes as he dropped to the floor and no doubt she was the one who pulled the trigger at him but Arissa refused to believe that.

She believed there might be a mix-up sowhere and why in the angel’s na does she keep on having that sa dream?

The dream never gets tired of reoccurring and it always has the power to leave her with chilly fear in her heart each ti it cos back.

Arissa beca confused.

She rembered all he told her about his mother and she felt broken hearing it from him. She ended up losing her tears again and now, she can’t believe she had a dream like this.

The dream left her worried and got her thinking. The previous ones where she found him laying in the pool of his blood frightened her but this one she had tonight terrified every single bone in her.

She does not understand what she committed to keep on having dreams like this. Nicklaus doesn’t have enemies, does he?

She looked down at him and watched as he made himself comfortable on her chest and it brought a fresh morning smile on her lips.

She smiled, her husband really is a soft baby. At this thought, hot tears left her eyes. She would never hurt Nicklaus, she never would.

Why does this dream want to ss with her ntality? In tears, she managed to lean forward so she could place a kiss on Nicklaus’s head.

Nicklaus responded to the kiss by rolling over to his side. The mont he rolled off her body, he drew her into his embrace and continued sleeping.

Arissa placed a hand on her lips to prevent her sobbing sounds from spilling out. She felt the ring on her finger and her tears flowed more. She was grateful for the fact Nicklaus decided to put on a shirt before falling asleep. Had he not, he would have felt the hot tears spilling from her eyes on him.

As if she just jinxed her luck, Nicklaus caught wind of her soft sniffs from his sleep, and his eyes imdiately flew open.

"Love?" Nicklaus was on full alert.

Arissa’s eyes widened. Her thumping heart pounded louder and she felt her heart about to leave her ribcage.

"Arissa?" Nicklaus tried to see her face but Arissa hugged him and pressed her face into his chest in an attempt to give her face from him.

This got Nicklaus worried and his brows creased together. He laughed softly and cuddled her more to the surprise of Arissa.

He began to coax her, "Do your hands hurt? If it doesn’t, you can slap until your satisfaction. Sotis, to chase fear or anger away, we need sothing to hit on, and trust when I tell you I did this a thousand tis to keep my sanity sane,"

"Or I can still read you a bedti story if you want," he added.

Arissa finally laughed in a sob-filled voice.

Nicklaus looked down at her and played with the baby strands of her hair. He softly tucked a few behind her ear and ran his fingers, carving out the outline of her cute-shaped ear.

"What caused my queen to cry? Did I hurt you? Did my words_"

Arissa laughed, cutting him off. She peeked at him from his chest, still hiding her whole face and only let her eyes out.

"Queen?" she questioned, "I never rembered being one,"

"You are. Don’t forget you own the whole space in my heart. There was a vacancy in my heart and now, you hold the whole space to it. My heart is your kingdom and you are the queen. My heart is forever your’s to rule," he explained

Arissa’s eyes widened at his line, "Oh,"

Nicklaus stared at her for a mont. He found her surprise face so cute and irresistible. It strengthened his urges to protect her and keep her by his side at all costs.

He raises his slender fingers to her face and uses it to wipe her tears. Arissa shut her eyes and bit her on her lower lips as he wiped her tears. She tried her best not to cry but a few tears still escaped her eyes.

"Shuu," Nicklaus coaxed using his deep soothing voice preserved for her alone, "While crying can also be good for the soul, I don’t recomnd you doing it," right now, he sounded like a father raising an eyebrow at his daughter new pickup attitude.

Arissa slowly parted her eyes and gazed into Nicklaus’s eyes with her now red ones. She does not know what to say to him. She can’t tell him about the nightmare for fear of what he might think about her.

It would freak him out. He watched his father get killed by his mother so he wouldn’t take what she would say about the nightmare lightly.

It doesn’t matter if he loves her or if it was just a nightmare. Placing herself in his shoes, she would avoid that person, whosoever.

In the first place, why would she kill Nicklaus? What would warrant such thoughts and acts? How and where in the world would she kill him?

Right now, she honestly wishes she could take a look into the future.... their future. She would honestly love to know what the future holds in store for them.
