"Hmm," Mr. Adams could only breathe his reply out. He was surprised Nicklaus knew so much which made him wonder why the man invested so much in Arissa’s life.

Mr. Adams cleared his throat. It gladdens him that soone cares about Arissa as this man before he does.
If he would die now, he couldn’t be happier but his only regret would be not ending Alfred and Laura himself for putting his daughter through what they made her go through.

He went on when Nicklaus just stared at him with a poker face, unaffected by his outburst, "And that is why I’m doing all I could to help her out of the contract. I wouldn’t have risked my life to get all of those docunts from the Lincoln safe had it been I never loved her or wanted her happy,"
"I don’t believe you," Nicklaus told him bluntly truthful as he did not care if he hurt the man emotions.
Mr. Adams smiled sadly, "I love my daughter and one day, I would love her to know the truth," he said
Nivklaus just stared at the man before him while he waited for Daniel to co back ad he have other tasks for that man to do.
