Whenever Ethan Sinclair saw Kiana Sutton, he couldn’t help but recall the way she rejected his gift.

It made him furious. Seeing how poorly she slept, he’d personally gone to Mount Providence at dawn to get that bracelet—who knew she’d turn her nose up at it.

But seeing her with her head hanging, looking so hurt, made his heart ache in a way he couldn’t shake.

The two conflicting emotions tugged back and forth, driving him out of his mind.

Kate Lynch had been worried that Ethan Sinclair was developing feelings for Kiana Sutton, but seeing this scene, she finally felt a bit more at ease.

She deliberately tucked her arm into Ethan Sinclair’s, softly explaining, "Ian, I just got here too. Kiana told to wait for you in the eting room, but I wanted to wait here until you finished up."

Although Kate’s words were ant to explain for Kiana, in reality, they were only adding fuel to the fire.

"So if I’m busy until tonight, you’d be waiting here till tonight?"

Then, he shot Kiana a cold glance. "If soone cos to see , you should notify imdiately. Do you really need to teach you sothing this basic?"

"Alright, alright, I have sothing to discuss with you anyway. Let’s go to your office and talk."

Ethan Sinclair responded indifferently. Just before heading into his office, he looked at Kiana icily and said, "Since you don’t want to get lost, make two cups of coffee and bring them in. Extra honey and sugar in one of them."

The two of them walked into the CEO’s office together. Kiana didn’t look up at them, but she heard Kate Lynch’s coquettish laugh, "You still rember I love extra honey and sugar in my coffee!"

Whatever Ethan replied, Kiana didn’t hear it—the door had already closed.

She hadn’t slept well to begin with, and now, after all this, Kiana’s headache was splitting her skull.

Nathan Lawson ca over and patted her on the shoulder. Maybe she wasn’t used to comforting people, so her tone was awkward and stiff: "President Sinclair was already in a bad mood today, he... he wasn’t targeting you on purpose."

Bad mood?

Wasn’t he perfectly happy around Kate Lynch?

Guess Ethan Sinclair just doesn’t love her—even breathing feels like a mistake.

Nathan had rarely comforted her before, so Kiana managed a strained little smile and then slowly signed, "Thank you."

"Okay, then... I’ll get back to work. You’d better hurry and take those coffees in."

Kiana nodded lightly.

After that, she went to the break room and brewed two cups of coffee.

But when she added honey to the other cup, an overwhelming sadness washed over her—he even rembered how Kate likes her coffee sweetened with honey and sugar.

How deep must his love run, to know even the tiniest details?

They’re supposed to be husband and wife, and now she’s stuck in the middle like so ho-wrecking third wheel.

Suddenly, her phone buzzed—it was Amy Manning ssaging her on WeChat.

"Kiana, I heard Kate Lynch is here. Can you get a signed photo for ? Oh, a photo of her with President Sinclair would be even better. If she becos a big star, that’ll be a collector’s item—worth a fortune, haha..."

Kiana didn’t reply. She put away her phone and brought the coffees to the CEO’s office.

She didn’t know what they were discussing, but Kate looked overjoyed, and even Ethan’s expression seed better.

But as soon as she entered, she felt like so intruding outsider—the atmosphere instantly shifted.

When Ethan Sinclair saw Kiana, for so reason, he secretly breathed a sigh of relief.

Hmph. He knew Kiana couldn’t bear to leave him!

Kiana didn’t say a word—just put the coffees down on the table.

Kate Lynch smiled at her, "Kiana, thank you."

Kiana gave a blank nod, and was just about to leave when Ethan’s cold voice stopped her, "Book a Thai restaurant. I’m having lunch with Kate."

Kiana’s fingernails dug into her palm, but she still nodded and walked out.

As the CEO’s assistant, Kiana was, you could say, extrely competent.

She went out of her way to find a top-rated romantic Thai restaurant.

Kate Lynch walked in brimming with delight, "Wow, Kiana, you’re amazing—how’d you find such a gorgeous place?"

At work, Ethan Sinclair rarely took Kiana Sutton out with him.

Kiana had assud he was having so romantic al alone with Kate Lynch, but shockingly, he brought her along as well.

Of course, not for lunch, but to wait on them—or just to watch how sweet and happy they were together.

Kiana’s chest burned with countless pinpricks of pain, but she kept her professional smile: "As long as you like it, Miss Lynch."

Kiana had pre-ordered the food; she didn’t know what Kate liked, and hadn’t bothered asking—she ordered all of Ethan’s favorites.

Ethan Sinclair looked at the table full of his favorite dishes, feeling a tangled ss inside.

"Wow, Ian, all your favorite dishes! Kiana really knows what you like."

"Hmph. As my personal assistant, if she can’t handle small things like this, what’s the point of keeping her?"

Then, Ethan gave Kiana a cool sidelong glance, "Take note of Kate’s favorites. From now on, order to her taste."

Kiana nodded.

Today, Kate Lynch was absolutely radiant, her smile as dazzling as it could possibly be. "No need to go to all that trouble—I love the things you love too."

Then Kate’s eyes flickered with mischief as she deliberately said, "Ian, this is a lot of food! The two of us can’t finish it—why not let Kiana sit down and eat with us?"

Ethan Sinclair shot Kiana a frosty look, and before he could speak, Kiana tactfully signed, "Thank you, Miss Lynch, but no need. I’m the assistant today—my job is to take good care of you both."

Ethan had thought, since Kate had given Kiana an out, that Kiana would just take it and let it go—not expecting her to be so ungrateful.

"Hmph. Good—you know your place. Didn’t you notice Kate’s cup is nearly empty? Top it up."

Kiana glanced at the cup—it was barely touched.

Ethan Sinclair was transparently picking at her on purpose.

She picked up the pitcher and poured a little more water into Kate’s glass. At that mont, the waiter scooped so shrimp from the hotpot, ready to peel them and bring them over, but Ethan stopped him.

"Let her do it."

The waiter paused, then looked at Kiana.

Kiana smiled and took the shrimp from the waiter, then went off to peel them herself.

Watching Kiana peel shrimp, Ethan Sinclair didn’t feel satisfied at all—he just got angrier.

This woman—when she’s supposed to obey, she won’t; when she’s not supposed to, then she’s all too willing!

By contrast, today was the happiest, most triumphant day of Kate Lynch’s whole life.

Ever since she woke, found out Ethan Sinclair and Kiana Sutton had married, she was always overshadowed by Kiana—but today, she finally got to hold her head high.
