Rosalind Joyce is the vice president of the Albatross Foundation, and she’s also the Sinclair Family’s second wife, whereas before a press conference was ever held, in the eyes of outsiders, Kiana Sutton was just a minor employee of the Foundation.

Kiana Sutton’s cat abuse video, although it dragged the Foundation into public controversy, didn’t have much impact.

But when Rosalind Joyce’s video ca out, everything changed.

It was like a cop knowingly breaking the law—a terrible influence.

This ti, it wasn’t just the Foundation; even the Sinclair Family got pushed to the center of the storm.

The old lady couldn’t catch her breath and fainted from rage.

Everyone scrambled around, rushing her to the hospital.

Ethan Sinclair heard that his grandmother was hospitalized, and had just left Mount Providence—he imdiately ordered a crackdown on public discourse, then raced to the hospital as fast as possible.

Outside the surgery room.

Kiana Sutton’s face was as pale as a sheet, her eyes fixed deathly on the three characters spelling "surgery room," her mind a ss.

What happened?

How did that video end up on the internet?

She instantly found Quentin Sinclair’s number and sent him a WeChat ssage.

"Rosalind Joyce’s video—did you post it online?"

Quentin Sinclair admitted it without hesitation, "Yeah, it was ."

"Why?"

"Heh... I was worried you’d go soft, keep hesitating, so I helped you fight fire with fire. No need to thank ."

Kiana Sutton gripped her phone tight, grinding her teeth in fury; she knew Quentin Sinclair couldn’t be trusted.

She hadn’t expected he’d care so little about the Sinclair Family’s reputation.

"Kiana Sutton!!!"

Rosalind Joyce yanked Kiana’s arm over, unleashing a tirade at her without an ounce of restraint.

"It’s all your fault, you jinx! It’s not enough you want dead—you want Mom dead too! If sothing happens to Mom, our entire family will make sure you regret it!"

The more Rosalind Joyce looked at Kiana, the angrier she got—she couldn’t believe she’d been played like this.

Now the whole internet was calling her out. Plenty of society wives were phoning her, pretending to care, but just waiting for her to fall.

How the hell was she supposed to survive in the social circles of wealthy ladies now?

"The person who sent those ’afraid of cats’ texts was you, wasn’t it? You know I can’t stand you, so you tead up with Jacqueline Warren to set up. You bitch—you should just die!"

Rosalind Joyce swung a hand hard, aiming to slap Kiana, but before she could touch Kiana’s cheek, a hand intercepted her, flinging her viciously aside.

Rosalind Joyce was caught off guard, almost falling; she turned in anger, and when she saw Ethan Sinclair, her heart clenched—then she burst into tears toward Ethan.

"Ethan, thank God you’re here. That mute wife you married wants to throw our Sinclair Family into chaos! Your grandmother was driven to collapse by her—she’s still being resuscitated as we speak!"

Ethan Sinclair glared at Rosalind Joyce, his eyes dark as ink—the chill in them biting, "Maybe you should worry about yourself, Aunt Rosalind."

"What do you an? Are you planning to shield Kiana Sutton?"

"Shield her? You an the cat abuse thing? Heh... Jacqueline Warren’s probably already talked to Grandma, hasn’t she? Who the real culprit is—you haven’t figured that out?"

Rosalind Joyce still held onto a thread of hope—if the old lady never woke up and Kiana couldn’t clear her na, she could dump all the bla onto Kiana.

She hadn’t expected Ethan Sinclair to know everything about Jacqueline Warren.

"How... do you know?"

"Take a guess."

Rosalind Joyce seed to realize sothing; her legs buckled, almost dropping her to the floor.

"You better hope Grandma is fine. Otherwise, even your husband can’t protect you!"

With that, Ethan Sinclair pulled Kiana away, saying coldly, "Co with !"

Ethan dragged Kiana into a corner, trapping her against the wall. "Where did you get Rosalind Joyce’s video?"

Ethan’s face was terrifying; Kiana’s heart was pounding in her throat—she rapidly gestured, "Quentin Sinclair gave it to !"

Once Quentin Sinclair was ntioned, Ethan’s expression turned even darker.

"When did you and he et? Why’d he hand the video over to you? And how did he get his hands on it?"

A string of three questions, showing Ethan Sinclair’s fury flying sky-high.

"This morning. He said he hated Rosalind Joyce, and after she frad , he wanted to help out."

This morning?

Heh... So right after he left the hotel, she t up with Quentin Sinclair!

Great. No wonder she slept so well last night—she already had a plan in place.

So all that pain and grievance yesterday afternoon was just an act, put on to make him feel bad for her?

Well... Perfect. Absolutely perfect!

"Huh, really? Funny, I didn’t know you two had gotten so united against a common enemy."

Before Kiana could respond, Ethan said coldly, "Or maybe, just like Rosalind Joyce said, you tead up with soone to set her up—and that person isn’t Jacqueline Warren, but Quentin Sinclair?"

Kiana shook her head, but Ethan pinched her chin, "Rosalind Joyce hates you and frad you, that’s real. So you turned it around, made her think she’d won, then brought out the video this morning to prove your innocence. Once it’s done, Grandma will surely strip Rosalind of her vice president role, and you’ll be the only vice president at the Albatross Foundation."

No... it’s not like that!

Kiana wanted to explain, but Ethan wouldn’t give her the chance. "I really underestimated you. Turns out you’re not so docile pushover—You’re shrewd, scheming, and tough."

Kiana could handle anyone else’s suspicion—but Ethan’s mistrust and interrogation were unbearable.

It felt like he was stabbing her straight in the heart.

But what could she do?

Quentin Sinclair had set her up; forget being mute—even if she had a hundred mouths, she’d still never clear her na.

Still, she didn’t want Ethan Sinclair misunderstanding her, so she gestured, hurt, "Believe or not, but I wasn’t the one who posted Rosalind Joyce’s video, and I’ve never wanted to hurt anyone in the Sinclair Family."

Ethan Sinclair released Kiana coldly, the depths of his eyes utterly frigid, "Does it matter if it was you or Quentin Sinclair? Either way, you’ve already gotten what you wanted."

Kiana felt a stabbing pain in her chest, and before she could gesture anything else, Connor Grant rushed over, "The Fifth Master, the old lady’s awake."

Ethan Sinclair didn’t spare Kiana a glance, heading straight for the hospital ward.

Kiana worried about the old lady too, so she raced after him to the ward.

Other Sinclair family mbers arrived, packing the old lady’s room; Kiana didn’t know how to face her or anyone else, so she didn’t dare enter.

Luckily, it was just a sudden rage—her blood pressure spiked and she fainted, but physically she was fine.

The old lady noticed Kiana wasn’t in the room and turned to Quinn Sinclair, "Quinn, go bring Kiana in. I’ve got sothing to say to her."

"Oh, okay..."

Kiana realized the old lady wanted to see her. After collecting herself, she walked into the ward.

Aura Sinclair saw Kiana and was just about to rush her, when the old lady spoke up, "Kiana stays. The rest of you, out."

Aura Sinclair wanted to protest, but Celeste Sinclair pulled her out.

Ethan Sinclair left as well, giving Kiana a deep look as he did.

Once everyone was gone, the old lady beckoned Kiana over, "Kiana, co to Grandma."

Kiana heard that, and couldn’t hold it in anymore—tears stread down her face as she rushed forward and hugged the old lady tight.
