In Varden, no one is unaware of the great achievents of The Sinclair Matriarch. She and Mr. Sinclair were young entrepreneurs back when Varden was less developed than it is now. They built schools, hospitals, roads, and planted trees in the city.

It can be said that the city’s developnt to its current status owes much to the contributions of this couple.

Even the top official of Varden would show them respect.

Sotis, a single word from The Sinclair Matriarch could decide the fate of a company or enterprise.

Angus Lynch’s face turned as grim as possible upon hearing this.

Stella didn’t expect that Quinn would defend Kiana Sutton face-to-face. The two have never been on good terms. Stella couldn’t stand Quinn, always acting arrogant and domineering, as if ruling over everything, a spoiled heiress indulging in strange hobbies, dressed like a little punk.

Today, Quinn wore a black leather jacket, paired with a white T-shirt, jeans, and her fingers and neck were adorned with jewelry.

Compared to other heiresses who are either ladylike or elegant and noble, Quinn looked less like she was attending a birthday feast and more like she was here to make trouble.

Furious, Stella pointed at Kiana Sutton and Quinn, cursing, "Her father made my sister suffer so much, and you still..."

Stella’s words were cut off by Angus Lynch, "Stella, guests are guests, don’t cause trouble."

"I’m not causing trouble, Dad. Kiana Sutton is clearly here to provoke us. She just doesn’t want you to have a good birthday."

"Enough!" Angus Lynch shouted, "Soone, take the second miss away!"

"Dad!"

Stella looked at Angus Lynch in disbelief, but was eventually freed from the fate of being dragged away by the servants.

"Everyone, I apologize. My daughter’s emotions got a bit out of control, making a fool of us all. Thank you for taking the ti to attend Mr. Lynch’s birthday celebration. I’m very pleased. Please enjoy the food and drinks, and forgive any lack of hospitality."

Such is the nature of upper-class parties; regardless of what happens one mont, people can be laughing and socializing the next.

Afterward, Angus Lynch approached Quinn, "Miss Sinclair, I’m very sorry..."

"Uncle Lynch, the person who should apologize isn’t ."

Angus Lynch gritted his teeth as he glanced at Ethan Sinclair, who showed no intention of intervening. Angus knew Ethan wouldn’t go against The Sinclair Matriarch for the Lynches, so he approached Kiana Sutton instead.

Making him apologize to the daughter of his daughter’s tornter hurt more than death.

But since she was the granddaughter-in-law of The Sinclair Matriarch, he must lower his head for the sake of the Lynch Family despite his reluctance.

"Miss Sutton, I apologize for today. It’s our family who failed to host properly, causing you inconvenience."

Kiana Sutton glanced at Quinn, who signaled to her, and handed the gift to Angus Lynch.

"Uncle Lynch, since my sister-in-law can’t speak, I’ll say it for her: My grandmother wishes you a happy birthday, may your blessings be as boundless as the sea and your longevity as enduring as the mountains."

Angus Lynch wore a facade of smiles, "Good, thank you for conveying my gratitude to the Matriarch. Feel free to enjoy yourselves, I must excuse myself."

Quinn chuckled and nodded. Once Angus departed, she snorted lightly, "Such a fake face, definitely not a good person."

At that mont, Quinn saw Ethan Sinclair, smiled at Kiana Sutton, "Sister-in-law, stay here obediently and wait for . I’ll be right back."

Kiana Sutton saw Quinn approach Ethan Sinclair with a glass of champagne, feeling sowhat worried inside.

"Bringing your own wife to the Lynches to be humiliated is sothing President Sinclair is truly capable of doing!"

Ethan Sinclair shot Quinn a cold glance, his expression displeased, "This is adult business, you little brat should stay out of it."

"Heh... Adults? You can’t even protect your own wife, what kind of an adult are you?"

Ethan Sinclair’s brows furrowed tightly, a sign of impending anger.

Within the Sinclair Family, Quinn feared nothing, not even her grandmother—only her cousin Ethan.

Luckily, she had her grandmother to rely on!

Quinn shrugged, "Fine, I can withdraw from matters between you, sister-in-law, and the Lynches, but Kiana Sutton is my sister-in-law, a mber of the Sinclair Family. I absolutely won’t stand by and watch her being bullied."

She took a sip of champagne and continued, "Thankfully, Grandmother foresaw you would bring sister-in-law to the Lynch Family, foresaw she would be bullied, and sent to rescue her. Otherwise, sister-in-law would have suffered who-knows-what at the Lynches’ hands."

Quinn cast a sideways glance at Ethan, "Brother, Kiana Sutton is your wife after all. She bears the na Ethan Sinclair. If anyone bullies her, it’s a slap in your face. Offering your face for them to slap, tsk... I don’t know whether to call you devoted or..."

"Stupid," she didn’t dare utter the word out loud, but her gaze said everything.

Faced with Ethan Sinclair’s fierce stare, Quinn shuddered, imdiately put down her wine glass, and instantly yielded, "Uh, my last words: I believe... Sister-in-law is a million tis cuter and prettier than Kate Lynch. You not liking sister-in-law is truly your loss!"

Before Ethan Sinclair could explode, Quinn sprinted away, taking Kiana Sutton with her.

"Haha..."

Once outside the Lynch’s villa, Quinn laughed heartily.

"It’s the first ti I’ve seen my brother looking so defeated, it’s exhilarating!"

While she laughed joyfully, Kiana Sutton felt overwheld with lancholy.

Given Ethan Sinclair’s vengeful nature, after Quinn disrupted his plans and spoke to him like that, he’d surely add her to his list of targets.

Seeing Kiana Sutton’s face filled with worry, Quinn pinched her smooth cheek and pulled her mouth into a smile, "Co on, sister-in-law, you’re adorable when you smile. Smile more, don’t always carry the weight of the world."

Aware of what Kiana Sutton wanted to say, Quinn laughed, "Relax, Grandmother is protecting . My brother won’t do anything to ."

Seeing Quinn speak with such confidence, Kiana Sutton believed her, and felt slightly relieved.

After all, Quinn was Ethan Sinclair’s sister. Even if Ethan was angry, he likely wouldn’t go too hard on Quinn.

At that mont, Quinn’s bodyguard drove up.

When Quinn was twelve, she suffered a kidnapping attempt, prompting the Sinclairs to assign her a bodyguard-driver for her safety.

The bodyguard nad Mason Kane was tall, handso, and had a cold, taciturn deanor.

"Sister-in-law, it’s rare to have you here with us, let take you out for so fun."

Kiana Sutton was not keen on having fun, but since Quinn just helped her, it would be impolite to refuse, so she nodded gently.

"Um... But you’ll need to change your outfit, co on, get in the car!"

Quinn pulled Kiana Sutton into the car, and they went to a mall.

Quinn chose a red dress suitable for nightlife, "Sister-in-law, go put this on."

When Kiana Sutton looked at the dress, noting its comfortable quality but scant fabric, her mind buzzed.

Is this... really considered clothing?
