Enzo continued sharing his story with them. For so unknown reason, he trusted his visitors and he felt at ease in their presence.
"After waking up from my coma state, with no recollection of my past mories, I had to undergo physical therapy for to be able to walk again. It took one year to recover completely." Enzo smiled, recalling how he struggled in the past.
"Alice supported both financially and emotionally. She beca my light in the darkest mont of my life." His love for Alice was reflected in his eyes.
At that certain mont, Lanny made up her mind. ’It looks like Enzo is living happily on this island together with his girlfriend. I can’t tell him about Kimmy. And I know Athena doesn’t want to involve her brother in her revenge plan, especially now that he has amnesia.’
"Thank you for sharing your heartwarming story with us, Enzo. We are glad to know you are in good hands. You might have forgotten your mories but the most important thing is that you are alive," Lanny spoke up, smiling faintly. She didn’t want to hear any more stories about Alice and him.
Enzo nodded, eting Lanny’s gaze. "You and Athena are my friends, so can we keep in touch? Maybe... you can help regain my forgotten mories. If there is a chance, I want to go visit the place where I originally ca from." He found a new motivation to recover his mory. He wanted to rember his monts with his family and friends including Athena and Lanny.
Athena and Lanny looked at each other once again before agreeing to Enzo.
"Of course, we can do that. We will give you our phone numbers. Feel free to contact us anyti." Athena took out her phone and showed Enzo their phone numbers. He eagerly saved their contact details on his own phone.
"I don’t know how you found , but I’m so glad to et my friends. By the way, how long are you going to stay here in Fortuna Grande? We are celebrating our Lantern Festival. I can tour you around the island." Enzo volunteered with enthusiasm. He wanted to spend more ti with them.
But Lanny imdiately declined his offer. "I’m sorry, Enzo, but we can’t stay here for long. We are also going back today."
"That’s true. The kids have a flight tonight, and we need to send them to the airport tonight." Vladimir butted in, finding a good reason to return to York City as soon as possible.
Sensing the closeness of Athena and Enzo, he couldn’t allow Athena to stay there and enjoy the festival with Enzo. He was jealous of any n getting close to Athena!
anwhile, Enzo’s expression beca sad when he heard that. He didn’t want to part ways with them yet.
"Since Vladimir and I are returning to York City, Athena, you can stay here for a while if you want," Lanny suddenly suggested making Vladimir glare at her sharply. But she had good intentions for saying that. She knew that Athena wanted to spend more ti with her brother.
’No! Lanny is trying to go against . I hate her!’ Vladimir clenched his fists, looking daggers at Lanny. But his sister just ignored him.
anwhile, Athena expressed her desire to stay. "Yes. I would love that. This is my first ti here in Fortuna Grande Island. I want to experience their Lantern Festival."
"Hmm. I think it will be fun. I want to stay here as well." Vladimir imdiately changed his mind.
However, Lanny wouldn’t allow Vladimir to interfere with the sibling’s bonding.
"You can’t, brother. You are coming with ." Lanny declared in her stern voice.
Vladimir was about to refuse but Athena turned to him with her pleading eyes. "V, please take care of Lanny, Aaron, and Kimmy. I can’t accompany them tonight." Though they ntioned the kids, they didn’t have any plans to reveal their connection with Enzo yet.
Hearing her plea, Vladimir could only sigh in defeat. He couldn’t say ’No’ to Athena’s request.
"Okay. But I will ask Luna to accompany you." Vladimir planned to let Luna be his eyes and ears to monitor Athena and Enzo.
"Sure. I am fine with that. Thanks, V." Athena was excited because she could bond with her brother, Enzo. She would also like to et Alice, Enzo’s current girlfriend.
"I’m afraid we have to leave now." Lanny stood up, bidding farewell to Enzo. Aside from the children, she had her another reason why she was in a hurry to leave the island. Perhaps, she wasn’t ready to et Alice yet.
As they bid their farewell, Enzo extended his right hand to Lanny, "It’s nice eting you, Lanny. I hope next ti we can also bond together as friends... just like how we used to be."
Lanny’s gaze fell on Enzo’s hand, accepting it. ’The bonding mont we used to do... is making out and having sex. I don’t think you would like to do that again with ... especially now, you have a girlfriend.’ Her lips curled up mischievously at that thought.
"Please take good care of Athena. I hope you both enjoy the Lantern Festival." Lanny smiled at Athena aningfully.
"Yes. I will." Enzo reassured her.
Vladimir, on the other hand, narrowed his eyes at Enzo. He was reluctant to leave but Lanny already dragged him out of the house.
As the siblings headed to their car, Vladimir confronted Lanny.
"What were you thinking? Leaving Athena here alone and be with that guy, Enzo?! Do you trust that guy? What if he is a dangerous man who might hurt Athena?" Vladimir lashed out at her.
Lanny just rolled her eyes skyward. "You are just jealous. Can’t you see? Athena trusts Enzo. Besides, Luna will be staying with Athena. Stop overthinking. You don’t have to worry. Enzo already has a girlfriend." Lanny was annoyed by Vladimir’s complaints.
But Vladimir was still bothered by sothing. He grabbed Lanny’s elbow tightly thus stopping her.
"Tell honestly, Lanny. What is the relationship between Athena and Enzo? Why do I feel like she is overly concerned about that guy? She even threw herself at him, embracing him as soon as they t!"
Lanny narrowed her eyes in annoyance. She was not in the mood to entertain Vladimir’s questions. She was still having difficulty processing what happened to Enzo and his relationship with Alice.
"Do you really want to know the truth?" Lanny arched her eyebrow, flashing a sly grin.
Vladimir nodded, feeling determined to know the truth.
Lanny moved closer to her brother and whispered, "Enzo, Athena, and I... were used to be a Throuple! The three of us are involved romantically and emotionally with each other, forming a mutual and consensual romantic relationship. In short, threeso! That’s why I told you Athena is my sweetheart."
Vladimir: "..."
Vladimir froze in his spot, his eyes widened in shock and disbelief. ’Huh? What did she just say? Is she kidding ?’ His mind tried to absorb Lanny’s shocking revelation, not realizing his sister was just pranking him.
Lanny just wanted to provoke and tease her jealous brother further. She still harbored a grudge against him because he told Enzo he was her sperm donor. She wanted to beat Vladimir at that ti.
She smiled triumphantly as she walked ahead, leaving her brother behind. She was satisfied to see Vladimir’s funny reaction.
"Serves you right. Haha!"
