"My biological mother is..." Aaron paused for a mont, thinking about sothing.

Dominique was all eyes and all ears on him, waiting for his response.

’Is it Lanny or Athena?’ For so unknown reason, his heart pounded with so much anticipation.

Aaron looked around before moving closer to Dominique. He whispered to him.

"Uncle Dom, I’ll trust you with this secret. Don’t tell this to anyone, including my grandfather."

Dominique nodded, giving him reassurance. "I swear. I won’t tell this to anyone. This is just a secret between us."

Aaron smiled upon hearing that. "Okay, Uncle Dom. I believe you."

"My biological mother is Athena. But I call her Aunt because she doesn’t want anyone to know about my existence, hiding our real connection. I am already used to calling her Aunt."

Dominique froze on his spot upon hearing that revelation. ’Aaron is Athena’s son. But why? Why doesn’t she want to acknowledge Aaron?’

Dominique’s mind was suddenly filled with so many questions.

"Aaron, let’s go ho. I want to talk to you and hear your story."

Dominique set aside their plans of buying ingredients for tonight’s dinner. He had a more pressing concern right now. Sothing he needed to uncover!

Dominique grabbed Aaron’s hand, guiding him out of the supermarket. They left the shopping cart inside. Aaron could only follow him in puzzlent.

Since Dominique was in a hurry, he lifted Aaron, carrying the young boy in his arms as they headed to the parking area.

While driving the car, so many possibilities ca flashing through his mind.

’What if Sabrina’s corpse that we found recently was fake and dical records had been manipulated, then Sabrina might still be alive.’

’What if Sabrina survived five years ago and she changed her face, then Athena could be her!’

’If Athena is Sabrina and Athena is Aaron’s biological mother, then Aaron might be my son?’

At that mont, Dominique found a new hope. Then he glanced at Aaron with so much tenderness.

’There is only one way to find out. I have to conduct a DNA test between Aaron and .’ Dominique thought to himself, determined to uncover the truth.

It did not take long before Dominique and Aaron reached the Golden Villa. The two of them settled down in the living room.

"Aaron, I’m sorry for being so nosy, but I want to hear your story. Can you elaborate on the things you’ve revealed to earlier? About your biological mother, Athena." Dominique held Aaron’s hands, urging him to speak up.

"How did you find out that she was your real mother?"

The bright smile on Aaron’s face suddenly disappeared as he reminisced about a certain mory.

"Uncle Dom... the truth is... My two mothers are clueless that I’ve learned the truth about my existence. I accidentally overheard them talking about . That’s when I found out Aunt Athena is my biological mother."

"I was surprised, but I never hated it. Ever since I was a baby, Aunt Athena took care of as her son. Despite the fact she hid the truth from , she always acted as my loving mother."

"But why? Why did she do that?" Dominique couldn’t understand why Athena hid the truth from her own son. Aaron had the right to know the truth.

Aaron bit his lower lip, looking down at his fingers. He tried to hide the sadness in his eyes but Dominique still noticed his emotions.

"She said it’s for my protection against my ruthless father. According to them, my father didn’t want to be born. He tried to get rid of when I was still inside my mother’s womb."

Dominique was stupefied when he heard that. His heart clenched as he listened to Aaron’s sullen voice. He looked so sad.

"Uncle Dom... honestly, I feel jealous of my classmates. When I’m in school, I can see my classmates together with their parents. They look so happy. Their fathers love them and they felt so proud of my classmates."

"But ... my father doesn’t want my existence, yet I am still hoping to et him one day. If ever I were given a chance to see him, I want to ask him why he wanted dead." Aaron was smiling but his eyes were filled with sadness.

"But I won’t feel disheartened because I have two loving mothers, uncle and grandpa," the young boy added.

Dominique imdiately pulled Aaron into a tight hug, trapping his small body in his strong arms.

He couldn’t stop himself from shedding tears. His heart felt so heavy and he felt suffocated.

"If I’m your father, I would never wish you to die. I will protect you with my life. I will sacrifice everything for you... just to make you happy. I want to raise you and see you grow. I may not be a good husband, but I will do my best to be a good father."

"I will do anything just to prove to you how much I care..." Dominique spoke from the bottom of his heart.

Aaron’s bright mood returned because of Dominique’s comforting words.

"How I wish my father would also feel the sa thing as you, Uncle Dom," he mumbled.

Dominique stroked his hair. "Aaron, if you ever et your father, could you please give him a chance to explain? Who knows, what you know is just a result of a misunderstanding between your parents."

"Please don’t hate him just yet. Hear him out." Dominique added.

Aaron bobbed his head. "I will do that, Uncle Dom. I will not judge him right away."

"However, if my mom doesn’t want to see him then... I will not cause her another pain. I could feel that my mom hated my father so much."

They were still talking when suddenly they heard the sound of the doorbell.

Ding! Dong!

Aaron and Dominique exchanged glances with one another.

’Athena.’

’Aunt Athena.’

Both of them were thinking of the sa person.

"Let welco our guest." Dominique rose from his seat, heading to the entrance of the villa.

A few minutes later, Dominique returned to the living room together with Athena.

"Aunt Athena!" Aaron greeted her cheerfully.

But Athena showed a different expression upon seeing the young boy. Her face turned pale right away, her eyes wide open and her body froze on the spot.

"Aaron?! W-What are you doing here?"
