Two Days Later...
The Williams Family released a statent regarding the scandal involving lody Williams. A press conference was conducted at the W Diamond Group Main Building.
"The accusation is baseless. Mr. Allan Gamboa frad Miss lody Williams. She never hired him to cause an accident during the photoshoot of W Diamond Group for their upcoming product launching."
The representative from the PR Team presented so proof that lody had nothing to do with Allan Gamboa.
"We regret to inform you that Allan Gamboa passed away two days ago due to a drug overdose. Based on the autopsy report, the authorities found out that Mr. Allan Gamboa was a Narcotics user."
"He wanted to blackmail Miss lody Williams, framing her for sothing she didn’t do because he needed so money to buy drugs. He is addicted to narcotics."
The reporters began writing news articles about this story. They also asked lody about her engagent with Oliver Jones.
lody grabbed the microphone and put on a pitiful act, shedding so tears.
"Due to the scandal, the Jones Family broke off the engagent. This is so unfair to . I was falsely accused and now, I lost my fiancé!"
Alfonso instructed his daughter to get the public sympathy during this press conference to put pressure on the Jones Family. They were still hoping that Oscar would take back his decision.
"I don’t know if we can still fix this. But I hope the Jones Family will reconsider their decision. My father will continue to reach out to Uncle Oscar and Oliver and discuss this matter."
The reporters continued asking lody but Athena already turned off the television.
"I can’t believe it. My uncle managed to find a solution to lody’s problem. Now, she got away with her cri because the only witness died." Athena expressed her disappointnt, clenching her fists.
Lanny sat next to her, rubbing her back. "Hey, Cheer up! The important thing is that... the engagent has been called off. We still accomplished our goal."
Athena took a deep sigh before nodding in agreent. "But lody and his father are trying to pressure the Jones Family using the dia. What if Oliver’s father will change his mind?"
"Don’t worry too much. Let’s rely on Oliver. He has to fulfill our agreents. I know he is soone who will not disappoint his goddess. He is into you. He didn’t want to offend you." Lanny reassured her.
"Okay. Let’s trust Oliver to deal with this." Athena finally cald down. "So what is our schedule for today?"
"Reshooting! The continuation of the video shoot that was postponed when the accident happened," Lanny replied, checking Athena’s schedule in her notes.
"Shall we go now?" Lanny extended her hand to Athena.
Athena just smiled as she accepted it.
The two ladies headed to the new location for the video shoot. Bella welcod them warmly, guiding the two ladies to Athena’s dressing room.
Athena and lody were the talk of the town for the past two days so the crew couldn’t help but whisper among themselves when they saw Athena and Lanny. They were still talking about the accident that transpired a few weeks ago.
"I thought the W Diamond Group would remove Athena from this project."
"Yeah. I am surprised that the Marketing Team didn’t change the endorser."
"Do you think Miss Athena and Miss lody are having a real fight? I an a conflict between those two ladies?"
"Hey! Stop gossiping. Get back to work now!" Sasha interrupted the staff who were talking among themselves. She overheard them talking about lody and Athena.
"Yes, Director!" They answered in unison, feeling embarrassed because Sasha caught them in the act.
"Good. Check the safety equipnt to avoid the sa accident from happening again." Sasha emphasized her last words.
The staff and crew imdiately dispersed, moving into action.
Sasha was in high spirits today. Dominique had returned ho and was spending ti with her in their bedroom. Additionally, she was pleased to see lody entangled in a scandal. It felt like karma was finally catching up with lody.
"I have to check on Athena," Sasha mumbled cheerfully as she made her way to Athena’s dressing room.
Knock! Knock!
"It’s , Sasha. Can I enter?" Sasha let them know that she was there.
Lanny was fixing Athena’s makeup when they heard Sasha’s voice outside the dressing room.
The smile on Athena’s face disappeared almost instantly. Ever since Dominique returned ho with Sasha, he hadn’t contacted her yet. Athena was upset because of that.
’Just because he finally reconciled with his wife, he didn’t bother contacting . It turns out I’m just truly a replacent for his wife.’ Athena clenched her fists at that thought.
Ashton also inford Athena that Dominique and Sasha had reconciled.
’I’ll drop by Dominique’s office later. I will remind him of my presence.’ Athena made a ntal note before responding to Sasha.
"Please co in."
Sasha entered the dressing room.
"Athena, how are you? Is everything fine? You and lody are all over the news." Sasha ntioned lody’s scandal right away.
Athena just bobbed her head and smiled at her faintly.
"Do you think she is capable of doing it? Her family probably used their connections to clear her na and bury the truth." Athena expressed her thoughts.
Sasha quickly agreed with her last remarks. She held Athena’s hands and said, "Yes. I think that might be the case. Her father has connections. I am not surprised if she is the true mastermind behind your accident."
Lanny and Athena simply exchanged aningful glances with one another. They could feel that Sasha was adding fuel to the fire.
They knew that lody and Sasha were not on good terms because of Dominique. lody kept on flirting with Dominique despite the fact he was already married to Sasha.
Luckily, Dominique didn’t even show any interest in lody. He always ignored her advances. Only Athena succeeded in seducing him, offering him an indecent proposal.
"I’m glad they didn’t remove Athena as one of your endorsers for this Product Launch." Lann heaved a sigh of relief.
Sasha just let out a soft giggle. "If they did, lody would look more guilty."
The three ladies burst out laughing.
"Anyway, are you both free tonight? I want to invite you for dinner at our ho. I am inviting Ashton too." Sasha planned on matching Athena and Ashton.
"Sure. I would love that." Athena promptly responded.
"Oh, I’m gonna pass. I have to fetch soone at the airport tonight. My friend is arriving." Lanny glanced at Athena aningfully.
Athena simply nodded, telling her she could handle this alone.
"Alright. I understand. But don’t worry. I’ll take care of Athena." Sasha reassured Lanny.
"Yeah. I know. Enjoy your double date!" Lanny winked at them.
Sasha giggled once more. "So, you truly like Ashton, huh?"
Athena smiled at her. "Hmm. He is so fun to talk to. I feel comfortable with him."
Sasha thought Athena and Ashton would beco a couple soon.
"Hmm. Will you allow him to court you? Do you wanna date him?" Sasha asked her directly.
"Why not? I would like to get to know him better." Athena responded without hesitation.
"That’s great! I am rooting for both of you, Athena!" Sasha exclaid.
’Hmm. You can rejoice, for now, Sasha. But later on, you will find out that I’m dating your husband, not your best friend.’
"Director Smith, Madam ona Williams is here to see Athena!" Bella suddenly entered the room, informing the three ladies.
’lody’s mother?’ Athena frowned when she heard about the unexpected visitor.
