Chapter 67: Unwanted Passenger

Tyler's POV

I sat at the dinning chair as I stared at the door in disbelief as Naomi stepped in, grinning from ear to ear like she just won the damn lottery.

Not her again.

Of all people in this world, why did it have to be Naomi?

"Morning, Tyler." She chirped, her high-pitched voice cutting through my already banged-up head like a knife.

I closed my eyes and muttered a silent prayer for patience. Maybe if I acted like I didn't see her, she would disappear.

"Tyler, did you hear what I said?" My mom's voice brought back to reality.

"Mom, I told you... I'm not dropping her off." I groaned, rubbing my temple.

Naomi just stood there, her hands behind her back like the little devil she was, smiling sweetly like she didn't know she was the reason my night at the club was a whole-ass nightmare.

"Oh co on, Ty. You owe one." She batted her lashes dramatically.

I shot her a glare. "Owe you one? For what exactly? Stressing the life out of at the club or almost getting killed?"

She giggled.

This girl had the audacity to giggle.

My mom rolled her eyes, already heading back to the kitchen. "You two should stop acting like little kids. You're driving her off whether you like it or not."

"Mom—"

"No more arguing, Tyler."

I swear this woman had a PhD in manipulation.

I groaned again, rubbing my face.

Why was my life like this?

First, my girlfriend cheated on for the whole world to see.

Then Logan kissed and dropped a bomb on out of nowhere.

Now, I had to chauffeur the little witch that almost made lose my life that night at the club.

This was not how I planned my coback to school.

Naomi smirked, walking past like she already won.

"Guess I'm riding first class today."

First class my ass.

I clenched my fists, breathing in and out to calm myself down.

"Fine. But if you so much as breathe too loud in that car, I'm dropping your ass by the roadside."

She bead like I just promised her a trip to Paris.

"Deal!"

I grabbed the car key from my mom's hand and stord out of the house, leaving Naomi to skip behind like so Disney princess.

The drive was... hell.

I knew it was going to be hell the mont she opened her mouth five minutes into the ride.

"Tyler, can we listen to sothing? The silence is killing ."

I ignored her.

"Tyler... Tyler... Tyyyyler."

I gripped the steering wheel tighter, my jaw ticking.

Breathe, Tyler. Breathe.

"Ty, why are you acting like you didn't enjoy yourself at the club that night?"

I slamd my foot on the brakes, making her jolt forward.

"The hell, Tyler?!"

"Enjoy myself?" I turned to her, my voice dangerously low. "I got shot at, Naomi. What part of that sounds like enjoynt to you?"

She blinked at innocently.

"You didn't get shot though."

I glared at her.

"But you could have." She added quickly, biting her lip to hold back a laugh.

I shook my head, muttering under my breath. This girl was a nace to society.

I focused back on the road, trying to block her out.

I needed to ntally prepare myself for school.

The mont I stepped foot into that building, all eyes would be on . I could already picture the whispers, the stares, the snide comnts.

They all saw the tapes. They all saw Alexis on her knees, taking more D than a damn pornstar — yet sohow, I was still going to be the villain.

The guy who got cheated on but still ended up looking like the bad guy.

I could already hear the murmurs in my head.

"He probably wasn't satisfying her."

"He deserved it."

"He's just bitter because she upgraded."

I clenched the steering wheel so hard my knuckles turned white.

If only they knew.

If only they knew the real story.

But they would... soon enough.

I wasn't coming back to school as the heartbroken boy everyone pitied.

I was coming back to make every single one of them choke on their stupid gossip.

I was going to rise from this shit stronger than ever.

No more Mr. Nice Guy.

It was ti they saw the real Tyler.

"Tyler, you're smirking."

Naomi's annoying voice cut into my thoughts.

I glanced at her from the corner of my eye.

"Mind your damn business, Naomi."

She grinned, leaning back in her seat.

"I like this version of you. You're kind of hot when you're mad."

I nearly swerved the car into a pole.

"God, just kill now."

By the ti we got to her school, I had already imagined at least five different ways to get rid of her body without getting caught.

"Thanks for the ride, Ty." She chirped, hopping out of the car like she hadn't just spent the last twenty minutes getting on my last nerve.

I didn't even bother replying.

I just drove off without looking back.

The mont she was out of the car, it felt like the air beca lighter.

I rolled down the window, letting the cold breeze hit my face.

This was it.

Ti to face the music.

I drove straight to school, my heart hamring in my chest the closer I got.

The gates ca into view. Students were already pouring in, laughing, chatting... living their best lives like they didn't just witness my whole-ass heartbreak unfold like a Netflix drama.

I parked the car and just sat there for a minute, gripping the steering wheel.

I could turn back now.

Nobody would even know I ca.

But then... they would win.

Alexis would win.

Those gossiping bastards would win.

And Logan...

I shut my eyes, pushing the thought of him out of my head.

I wasn't ready to deal with that shit right now.

I took a deep breath and stepped out of the car.

The mont my feet touched the ground, I felt it.

Eyes.

Watching .

Whispers.

Circulating already.

I could feel the judgnt oozing from every direction.

But I straightened my back and kept walking, head held high.

Let them talk.

Let them whisper.

By the ti I was done...

They would be the ones hiding their faces.

I walked through the school doors like I owned the place, my sneakers echoing through the hallway.

The whispers grew louder.

I could feel their eyes following , burning holes into my back.

I didn't care.

I kept walking.

Not a single glance sideways.

Not a single damn reaction.

If they wanted a show...

I was going to give them one.

The best thing to do is to ignore them and that is what I'm doing.

As long as they already knew Alexis was a bloody bitch and she was the one that cheated and I'm not the bad guy then I'm good to go.

They can shove their stares or murmuring up theirs ass and cum to it.

I walked straight to locker and arranged my book in it while taking the one I would use for that class.

We had English and professor Dave would be in class any mont from now.

The man doesn't joke with his class.

If he even has an opportunity to teach for the whole day, trust he would and would also ask of extra hours if not even days.

I was halfway through stuffing books into my bag when a voice called out behind .

"Tyler... do you have a minute to spare?"

I turned slowly.

It was the principal.

Great.

Because nothing screams amazing first day back like a trip to the principal's office.

I sighed, slamming my locker shut.

Here we go.

The coback tour was officially underway.
