Chapter 147- Are you that Sex Starved?

Beatrice POV

And then, it happened.

He grabbed my arm—rough, painful—and slamd the door shut with his other hand.

Before I could scream, he shoved backward.

I crashed onto the chair, my head hitting the pillow hard. Pain exploded through my skull.

"Ahhh!" I cried out. My head was ringing.

I clutched the side of the chair, breath heavy, but he didn't care.

He stood over .

Smiling.

"You like it, right?" he asked. "You like how it feels, don't you?"

"You bitch... you like it, right?"

I didn't answer him.

I couldn't.

My heart was pounding too fast. I was scared. But I wouldn't give him the satisfaction of begging.

He leaned closer, and I turned my head away. I couldn't look at him. I didn't want to look at him.

I shut my eyes tight.

Maybe if I kept them closed, he'd disappear. Maybe if I just stayed still, I'd wake up in a different life—one where I wasn't stuck in hell with this monster.

I felt his hot breath on my face.

I could hear his smile.

"Open your eyes," he said.

I didn't move.

"I said open your motherfucking eyes, Beatrice."

His voice shook .

I opened them—slowly. And I hated that I did.

He was so close I could see every cruel detail in his face.

"You look so pretty when you're scared," he whispered. "So perfect with those hot lips and that face of yours."

He smirked, like I was a toy.

Then he said the words that broke more than any slap or choke.

"You're going to thank for saving you. Right now. Or I swear, I'll choke you again—and this ti, you won't survive it."

My whole body froze.

Tears spilled before I could stop them. My voice ca out like a whisper—shaky, broken, barely there.

"I'm... I'm so sorry..."

He slamd his hand on the chair.

"That's not what I want to hear!"

His hand moved toward my neck.

"What are you supposed to say to , huh? After I saved you and didn't let that bitch-ass of yours die?!"

I swallowed hard, my throat tight with fear.

"Thank you..." I breathed out.

"I'm supposed to say... thank you."

He leaned back, watching .

"So say it."

My lips trembled.

"Thank you... thank you so much... for not letting die..."

"Good," he said as he finally let go of my neck.

My lungs burned as I sucked in a breath, coughing quietly while rubbing the skin where his fingers had just been.

"Now stand up and look at ," he ordered, his voice deep and threatening.

I didn't argue.

I didn't even think twice.

I stood up imdiately, my legs shaking beneath . I didn't know what he'd do next. One wrong move, one wrong word, and he could snap again. That fear lived in my chest like fire.

I looked at him—face to face—even though I was shaking inside. I could barely hold his gaze. But I knew I had to.

His eyes burned into mine.

"Now," he said, pacing a little. "Tell what happened. What did you do? What made Tyler run away? What did you say? What did you do?"

He paused, then leaned closer again.

"Because if you don't tell the truth, I'll find out myself. And when I do, Beatrice—I swear—I'll cut off your hand for lying to ."

My breath hitched.

He wasn't joking. His voice was calm, but his words were terrifying.

"And if I find out you lied, I won't stop at just your hand," he continued. "I'll cut both of them. And your leg. I'll make sure you never walk or move again. Do you understand ?"

My knees nearly gave way. But I held on. I nodded fast, swallowing down the scream in my throat.

"Yes," I whispered.

My mind was spinning. How was I going to explain anything? I couldn't tell him the truth. I couldn't tell him Tyler and I were planning to leave... that we were ready to run. That I had lost the money. That everything was my fault.

No. I had to lie.

But not fully.

Not enough for him to catch .

Just enough to protect myself... and my son.

"What are you waiting for?" he snapped. "You think I've got all day to watch you blink like a fool?"

"I... I'm sorry," I stamred, fluttering my lashes to hold back tears. "I'll talk. I'll explain."

"You better not fucking lie," he warned again.

I nodded quickly.

"So it all started when I saw a man," I began, but he imdiately raised his hand to cut off.

"Forward, forward, forward," he said, waving his fingers in the air like I was so annoying child. "I don't want to hear about so random man. Keep that shit to yourself. What I want to hear is what happened between you and Tyler that made the boy run. What the fuck happened?"

I swallowed again and nodded.

"I need to tell you that part so you understand how Tyler disappeared," I said carefully.

He narrowed his eyes... then nodded slowly. "Go on."

I took a shaky breath.

"So... the man I saw, he cared about Tyler," I said softly. "He told he cared about him... and I did too. I an, I really did."

I paused. I felt my chest tightening again. The lie was heavy on my tongue, but I had to sell it.

"We just... we connected quickly. Everything just happened so fast."

He interrupted again.

"Be specific," he snapped. "I hate useless words. What the fuck does quickly an? Two weeks? A month? What do you an?"

I looked down, then looked back at him.

"We started dating 24 hours after we t," I admitted quietly.

His face went cold.

His eyes widened in disbelief.

"What???"

He scoffed and stepped back like he'd been slapped.

"You an to tell ," he said slowly, "that you started dating a man 24 fucking hours after eting him?"

His lip curled.

"Are you that sex-starved, Beatrice?"
