Chapter 141- This House Slls like Sex And Sperm.

Logan's POV

I looked at Tyler the mont he said, "Tell Maya to fuck off."

I didn't argue. I didn't even ask questions.

I just nodded my head and walked over to the door. That's all he needed from —one nod. One silent confirmation that I was going to handle it.

But when I opened the door... she wasn't there.

That little rat had already disappeared.

She must've gone downstairs. She probably ran away with that sa big mouth of hers, still talking like she had sothing important to say. That girl doesn't even know how close she ca to getting a piece of my mind that she would've never recovered from.

I was ready to ruin her entire mood, maybe even her week. I wanted to put fear in her chest. Just one sharp warning that would remind her she's nothing but a shadow in this house—not soone who gets to bark orders.

But now she's gone.

Lucky her.

She should thank her stars, honestly. If I had caught her still standing there, she would've walked away crying, shaking, probably dragging her tears down to my father to report —again.

Good. Let her go.

She's not even worth the energy.

I turned back into the room and saw Tyler staring at . His eyes were filled with confusion, and if I'm being honest, mine probably looked the sa. I couldn't even tell who looked more lost—him or .

We were both just stuck in this weird silence.

I didn't say anything to him. No smile, no goodbye, no final words. I just reached for the door again, locked it behind , and made my way downstairs to et my dad.

Every step I took, my heartbeat got louder.

Boom. Boom. Boom.

I could hear it in my ears, feel it in my throat.

My breathing wasn't any better either. It was so heavy, I felt like I was walking through fire. I didn't even get the chance to take a proper shower because of that pest Maya. She just wouldn't shut up. Telling what to do like she owns the damn place.

She was barking like a stray dog that lost its owner.

Even had the guts to try and enter the room like she was invited. Said she would wait inside.

Wait for who?

Wait where?

With what rights?

Where did that kind of audacity co from? I swear, the wings she's growing—I'll personally cut them off soon.

I raised my arm and sniffed myself, trying to figure out if I slled bad. But honestly, I couldn't tell. My head was too clouded with thoughts of what my dad wanted. I didn't even know if I slled normal or like a whole trash bin.

I just wanted this talk over with.

When I finally reached downstairs, I saw my dad sitting on his favorite chair—the sa one he always acts like is a throne. He was there, pressing his phone like nothing in the world bothered him.

I stood in front of him without saying anything.

I didn't feel like greeting him. I didn't feel like pretending. I didn't feel like playing "good son" today.

"What did I even have to say?" I thought.

He looked up and smiled.

"Oh, Logan. Here you are."

I rolled my eyes so hard, I almost saw my brain.

"Dad, can we just skip all that and go straight to why you're here?" I said, already tired.

He raised an eyebrow. "What do you an by that?"

"Can't I co to the house I built with my money again?"

There it is.

The drama.

He always finds a way to remind that this house was built by his money. Like I'm supposed to clap for him every ti he walks through the door.

I didn't say anything. There was nothing to say to that.

"So why are you calling ?" I asked. "Is sothing wrong? I told Maya to co tell you that I'm busy, but she told you said it was very important and I had to co downstairs."

"Apologies for disturbing you. I didn't an for it to sound that way... or for Maya to say it like that. Apologies once again," he said.

I didn't even bother to answer.

If he had sothing to say, he better say it fast and clear. I didn't have all the ti in the world to stand here and play guessing gas with him. My patience was already hanging by a thin thread, and the last person I wanted to deal with was him.

He adjusted himself in the chair and smiled like he was trying too hard to look calm.

"So... my beloved son, Logan," he began, dragging the words like a movie villain. "I ca here to talk about a family matter... or maybe I should call it a friend's issue."

I stared at him like he just said the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard.

"Family issue?" I raised one brow. "What family issue? Because last ti I checked, there's only two of us in this house who are blood. And neither of us have any problem—at least not that I know of. So what exactly are you talking about?"

He chuckled like I just asked a silly question.

"You don't always have to be blood-related to be called family. There are people who beco family by bond, by ti, by trust. There's soone I consider family to us... and I want to know what's going on between the two of you."

Here we go.

He's doing it again—going in circles, talking in riddles.

"Dad," I sighed, rubbing my temple, already tired. "Please just go straight to the point. I'm not in the mood for this slow speech and suspense. It's really frustrating. Just say what you want to say and let's end this talk already."

That's one thing about my dad. He always talks like he's performing a drama in his head.

Never straight. Always talking in circles, pulling you through unnecessary corners before getting to the main thing.

I have things to do. My whole body is still tense. I haven't even had ti to cool off. And here he is again, wasting my energy.

He finally leaned forward a little, like he was about to deliver the big reveal.

"So sorry, my dear beloved son," he said again. "The person I'm talking about is Lucas. He told he's back and—"

I froze.

Lucas?

This again?

What does that bastard want now? What made him go to my dad to complain about ?

And why the hell is my dad calling him 'family'?

Lucas isn't my family.

He never was.

He never will be.

The only family I have... is papa. That's it. End of story.

Lucas can go screw himself.

But then... my dad suddenly stopped talking. Just paused mid-sentence like he forgot his lines.

I looked at him, confusion slipping into my eyes. "Why didn't you finish what you were saying?" I asked, my tone sharp. "Why did you suddenly stop?"

He didn't respond right away. Instead, he stared at . Like he was studying ... or trying to figure sothing out.

"I perceived sothing," he finally said.

What?

"Sothing made stop," he continued, still watching closely. "You made stop."

What the hell was he talking about now?

I frowned. "What do you an I made you stop?"

"It's simple," he said, folding his arms. "You walked in, and imdiately, I perceived sothing that made stop talking."

Then he dropped it.

"Logan... did you have sex?"

My heart stopped.

I blinked.

"What?"

My throat dried up. I couldn't even find words for a few seconds. That question threw off completely.

Did I what?

Was I supposed to say, Yes, papa. I had sex today... and it was with a guy?

But even that wasn't the truth.

Because technically... it wasn't even full sex.

So is that a yes or a no?

I swallowed hard and looked at him. "Why are you asking that? Did sothing happen? Is there sothing you want to know?"

He leaned back in his chair. "I want an answer, Logan. A simple one. Yes or no. Did you have sex today?"

"No," I said quickly, shaking my head. "No, dad. I didn't. Stop repeating that word."

I was already getting nervous.

But he didn't stop.

He looked dead in the eye and said the one sentence that made my heart skip a full beat.

"Then why do you sll like sex?"

I froze.

"Why do you sll like sex and sperm at the sa ti?"

Boom.

It felt like he threw a grenade in the room and just sat back to watch it explode.

My mouth dropped slightly. "What... what did you just say?"

I stamred.

I couldn't even believe what I was hearing. How did he even say that so calmly?

He stood up slowly, still looking at . "Since you're insisting you didn't have sex... then I think it's only fair that we both sit down and watch the CCTV footage. That way, we can find out who's lying."
