Star City Academy, Dorm 301.

After returning from the Principal's Office, Feng Qi sat down on the sofa.

He decided to enter the Dream Realm once more.

This ti, his goal was simple: capture the Three-Tailed and kill it.

Killing the Three-Tailed would undoubtedly be challenging given his current strength tier. Fortunately, Lin Ran had successfully Anti-Parasitized the Lord of the Mist, gaining access to its power.

With Lin Ran's assistance, Feng Qi was confident that capturing the Three-Tailed would be no problem.

As for exploring this particular Future Dream Tiline, he temporarily abandoned that pursuit.

He also resolved not to check the database for information about the Dream Realm's tiline.

Instead, he would dedicate all his ti to searching for and capturing the Three-Tailed, as well as enhancing his own strength.

He reached for the Clear Heart Wine on the coffee table, twisted open the cap, and drained the bottle in one gulp.

The icy liquid slid down his throat, causing his body temperature to rise.

When he summoned his status panel, the percentage on the energy progress bar began to jump rapidly.

After a mont, the energy progress bar reached 100%.

Lying back on the sofa, Feng Qi closed his eyes.

As ti passed, drowsiness crept in, and his expression gradually relaxed.

The instant his eyes snapped open, a chilling wind swept across his face.

The world before his eyes transford into a familiar scarlet hue. As he surveyed the burial ground, countless living dead stood like scarecrows across the desolate landscape.

Suddenly, Little Cripple's hoarse roar pierced the air.

He turned to see Little Cripple struggling to rise from the ground.

Just as the creature's unsteady form threatened to split into a painful split, Feng Qi stepped forward and kicked Little Cripple's head clean off.

The force of the blow shattered the head mid-air.

Little Cripple: "You bastard! Would letting do a split kill you? What's a few seconds? After all the tilines I've followed you through, you don't have a shred of affection for ? Total scumbag!"

Ignoring the Narrator's rant, he turned his gaze westward.

A thick gray mist obscured the path westward, stretching horizontally for miles.

Faint, raspy whispers drifted from within the mist, and translucent wraith-like figures occasionally flickered through the gray haze.

Without hesitation, he strode toward the Mist Zone.

After a ten-minute sprint, he stood before the mist.

Psychokinetic tendrils pierced the mist, churning it to draw out the Lord of the Mist.

Taking a deep breath, he roared into the mist:

"Lin Ran, co out!"

Just as in previous tilines, the Lord of the Mist's face swiftly materialized before him as the mist churned and contracted.

"Who are you? What do you seek from ?"

Feng Qi grinned. "I'm not here for you. I'm looking for Lin Ran. Hurry up and die."

The Lord of the Mist's expression shifted from confusion to horror.

As Lin Ran awakened from his slumber, the consciousness that had lain dormant for millennia launched a counterattack.

A fierce ntal clash erupted.

The Narrator's voice chid in:

Feng Qi, let's make a bet. The loser calls the winner "Daddy"! I'm betting on Lin Ran!

"Shut up," Feng Qi snapped, rolling his eyes.

During the tense wait, the mist contracted and expanded repeatedly, the mist face dissolving and reforming.

Finally, after half an hour, the mist face solidified once more.

The Narrator's voice announced:

Ding! This system has detected that the blue ntal consciousness cluster belonging to Lin Ran has achieved final victory!

As the Narrator's words faded, the mist face, suspended in mid-air, lowered its gaze to et Feng Qi's.

"Brother Qi!"

"A'Ran, well done," Feng Qi replied, a smile spreading across his face at the familiar address.

"Wait a mont."

The dense Mist Sea began to contract, converging toward the mist face.

Finally, Lin Ran with his purple hair materialized.

His eyes slowly opened, and an eerie purple light swirled within them.

Compared to the Lin Ran of the past, this version exuded an aura of malevolence.

Lin Ran's figure descended from the air.

As his feet touched the ground, a familiar smile spread across his face, and he opened his arms toward Feng Qi.

Feng Qi stepped forward and embraced Lin Ran, patting him on the back.

"Good brother, I know you have many questions. Let's talk as we walk."

"Where are we going?"

"To catch so small animals."

"Huh?"

"I'll explain on the way."

With that, he led Lin Ran toward the Abandoned City.

Along the way, he began explaining his situation and why he had asked Lin Ran to research Anti-Parasitic Mist Lord cultivation techniques and art magic.

As he listened, Lin Ran's expression shifted to one of realization.

Yet even after hearing the truth, he still found it hard to believe, repeatedly exclaiming in disbelief.

Clearly, the concept of traveling through tilines was beyond Lin Ran's comprehension.

"By the way, did you manage to obtain the Lord of the Mist's mories?" Feng Qi asked, turning curiously to Lin Ran.

With a wave of his hand, Lin Ran launched a tendril of mist that pulverized a living dead blocking their path. He shook his head.

"I couldn't devour the Lord of the Mist's spiritual consciousness. He's still alive, and no matter how hard I try, I can't shatter his consciousness core anymore, so I can't access his full mories."

Feng Qi nodded in understanding.

"Then how much do you know about the Lord of the Mist's secrets?"

"Only what I observed through his perspective in the early stages of the body possession. But I quickly chose to enter a dormant state. Otherwise, there was a very high chance the Lord of the Mist would discover ."

Feng Qi felt a slight pang of regret.

But he understood Lin Ran's situation at the ti.

Back then, Lin Ran was just a weak wisp of consciousness. rely parasitizing the Lord of the Mist's sea of consciousness was already a trendous feat. If he had continued observing the outside world, the Lord of the Mist would almost certainly have detected him and annihilated his consciousness.

Lin Ran considered it a remarkable feat that he had managed to remain hidden until now.

With a playful grin, Lin Ran said, "Brother Qi, I've got the situation figured out. Let's not waste any ti—we need to hurry."

"Alright!" Feng Qi nodded imdiately.

In a swirling motion, Lin Ran transford into a dense mist, which gathered beneath Feng Qi's feet and lifted him into the air, propelling them eastward at breakneck speed.

The wind howled in Feng Qi's ears as they soared above the mist, the gale buffeting his face.

In just one-tenth of the ti it would normally take to travel this distance, Lin Ran flew them to the city ruins and descended directly from the sky.

As Feng Qi's feet touched the ground, the mist coalesced back into Lin Ran's human form.
