The phone rang a few tis before being picked up.
Fu Yun’s eyes were cold as she gritted her teeth and said, “I need you to do a favor, you can na your price.”
The person on the other end said sothing, then Fu Yun began to describe the task she wanted done; the other party swiftly agreed, demanding ten million.
Fu Yun was displeased to hear the price; her eyebrows unconsciously knitted together. Such a small task and they dare to ask for so much, clearly they see her as a fool ripe for fleecing.

“Three days.”

Huo Lin frowned and asked, “What did he want from you?”
Fu Yun retorted sarcastically, “He ca to check on my health, unlike you, always too busy to care about .”
Listening to his mother’s ironic tone, Huo Lin wasn’t annoyed at all and thodically said, “Uncle Three is not to be trusted. It’s best if you keep your distance from him.”
Fu Yun beca even angrier, protesting, “Are you trying to put under house arrest? I am your mother, not a prisoner!”
“You’re overthinking it,” Huo Lin, not wanting to provoke Fu Yun, didn’t argue and instead suggested, “You have nothing to do in Beijing, better you go back to K port.”
To prevent any unforeseen incidents, Huo Lin thought it safer to send Fu Yun back to K port, also eliminating the chance for Fu Yun to harass Pei Ya and stir up unnecessary trouble.
Fu Yun nodded, “Fine, we’ll leave in three days.”
Huo Lin thought he would have to argue with his mother for a while, but she agreed so promptly that he was caught off-guard.
“What’s with that expression? I’ve agreed to leave, why are you so surprised?” Fu Yun said with a harsh tone.
Ever since her son beca disobedient, Fu Yun had not shown him a pleasant face.
Still, knowing the truth, Huo Lin wanted to protect Fu Yun. She was his biological mother, and their fates were tied together; he couldn’t just watch as Fu Yun courted disaster.
Now that Fu Yun had agreed to leave, his initial shock faded, and his expression normalized, “Alright, three days then. I’ll make the arrangents.”
Actually, he would prefer she leaves imdiately today, but obviously, his mother wasn’t keen on the idea.
Fu Yun humd a response, then as if a thought struck her, she suggested, “I don’t want to take a plane, let’s go by sea, it’ll be a good opportunity to relax.”
Huo Lin didn’t suspect a thing, agreeing readily as it would help her condition, “Alright, I will arrange that.”
Only then did Fu Yun show a smile, “Okay then, you get back to your business, I need to rest a while.”
“Alright.”
Huo Lin stayed no longer and obediently closed the door behind him as he left.
Until Huo Lin’s figure disappeared from sight, Fu Yun’s smiling lips tightened into a straight line, her eyes enigmatic.

Thinking about how Pei Yao would obediently listen to her and stay by her side in three days, she let out a chuckling laugh.

Now all she needed to do was wait.
Unless Jiang Jing hid in deep forests or places without internet, it would be impossible to not find him eventually.
