Qiao Yun drawled, “Don’t call kid.”
Hearing this, Li Hanzhou laughed; she had never corrected him the many tis he had called her that before.
He uttered an oh with profound aning, “What would you like to call you?”

Li Hanzhou watched her thick, curly lashes and her indifferent deanor, and slowly offered, “Qiaoqiao? Yunyun? Xiaoqiao? Xiaoyun?”

If it weren’t for knowing Li Hanzhou’s personality, Li Miao would have wondered if her brother was hitting on Qiao Yun.
She shook her head, dispelling that terrifying thought.
“Don’t like any of them? Then I’ll just keep calling you kid.”
Li Hanzhou’s thin lips curved into a smile; Qiao Yun with her little face all scrunched up was quite cute.
Qiao Yun looked up at him and sighed softly, “As you wish.”
Li Hanzhou narrowed his eyes—did he actually hear the indulgence of an elder towards a younger after a prank from Qiao Yun’s “as you wish”???
“Kid, are you troubled by sothing?”
He returned to the matter at hand, his tone casual but his piercing gaze resting on Qiao Yun’s delicate profile.
When Li Miao heard this, the corner of her mouth twitched.
Did her brother have X-ray vision or sothing?
How else could he deduce from Qiao Yun’s icy expression that she was troubled?
Qiao Yun, not in the mood to talk, denied, “No.”
Li Hanzhou leaned back in his seat, tilting his head to observe her changing expressions.
His acuity was high, and even though Qiao Yun’s deanor was reserved, he detected her subtle shifts.
“It’s wrong to lie.”
Qiao Yun quietly retorted, “I’m not lying.”
“You are.”
Qiao Yun was colder than usual, and Li Hanzhou didn’t like it—it made him feel distant.
Seeing that Li Hanzhou kept looking at her without speaking, Qiao Yun admitted, “I’m just a bit troubled about how family mbers should interact with each other.”
“I know this one, of course you just say what you want to say, you need to be relaxed when dealing with family.”
Before Li Hanzhou could speak, Li Miao interjected with the answer, and then t with Li Hanzhou’s unward smile.

“No, they’re very nice,” Qiao Yun shook her head earnestly, “Too nice.”
Because they were too nice, she didn’t know how to interact with them in such a way that would repay their kindness.

Qiao Yun tilted her head in confusion?
Li Hanzhou stated, “They probably don’t want you to be so well-behaved.”
Qiao Yun was even more perplexed; she didn’t think she was well-behaved at all, she too could educate others, although just a tiny bit, just the tip of a pinky finger’s worth of educating.
“Qiaoqiao, you just lack a bit of warmth.”
The more Li Miao watched Qiao Yun, the sorrier she felt for her and excitedly suggested, “How about this, I’ll take you to the amusent park this weekend? We can watch the fireworks show.”
Qiao Yun refused, “I don’t want to go.”
Li Miao cajoled softly, “Please, no one else will go with , I’ll be so lonely.”
Qiao Yun felt she was an adult; how could she play at amusent parks? If her students found out, they’d think she’s just a child.
But her new friend seed so eager to go, and she felt a little torn.
Her gaze shifted and landed on Li Hanzhou’s handso face; her eyes lit up, “Are you going?”
Li Hanzhou declined decisively, “No.”
“My brother is too old for those things,” Li Miao didn’t want the Great Demon King along, it wouldn’t be fun without freedom.
Qiao Yun’s eyes fell, and she seed a bit disappointed.
“Okay.”
Li Hanzhou suddenly changed his mind, “If you want to, I’ll go.”
If Li Hanzhou, who was much older, could go to amusent parks, then it shouldn’t matter if she went too, right?
She was just going to take a look.
Qiao Yun pinched her little hand, and a hint of a smile seed to ripple through her eyes.
