The next day, Herbert drove to the location Nolan ntioned, full of doubts.
He parked his car by the roadside, and after waiting for a while, a car stopped next to him.
The car door opened, and Nolan sat inside, smiling warmly, "Uncle Herbert, please get in the car. We’ll talk on the way."
Herbert didn’t think much of it and got into the car. Only after Nolan started driving did he suspiciously ask, "What do you an by what you said yesterday? Do you really have a way, or are you deceiving again?"
Nolan nodded slightly, ambiguously saying, "How would I dare to deceive you? I do have an idea, but it requires your cooperation."
Herbert didn’t rush to respond. He squinted his eyes and asked back, "Why are you helping ?"
Without the layer of alliance through marriage, Nolan suddenly offering to help him inevitably made him suspect if Nolan had so ulterior motive.
"Because..." Nolan’s eyes gradually turned cold, and he said half-truthfully, "I hate them all. The reason I’m in this ss now is because of Pei Ya and Professor Qiao; they ruined . Pei Ya likes Xiya, so I won’t let him have her. This is my revenge, as long as they’re unhappy, I’m happy."
Herbert thought, and Nolan’s reason did make so sense.
But honestly, wasn’t Nolan in his current situation because of his own doing?
Herbert asked, "What do you plan to do?"
"If Pei Ya hadn’t caused trouble at the engagent party, Xiya probably wouldn’t have had the courage to sever ties with you," Nolan looked at Herbert. "As long as he’s around, Xiya won’t listen to you."
Herbert thought, that’s right, for over twenty years everything was fine with Xiya; though not close, it wasn’t to the extent of cutting off relations.
So, Xiya must have been instigated by Pei Ya, definitely not because of him...
Nolan watched Herbert’s expression and said word by word, "Just make him disappear."
"What?" Herbert looked at Nolan in shock and then froze on the spot.
Only then did he see madness on Nolan’s face, a kind of madness that made him shudder, causing cold sweat to form in his palms.
Nolan’s voice was low as he said, "You are Xiya’s father, and since he likes Xiya, he definitely won’t ignore you."
Herbert had a bad premonition, his brows furrowing deeply.
"Nolan, you want to kill him? That’s a cri! I must be crazy to think you had a solution. Stop the car, I want to get out!"
Nolan chuckled, "Uncle, now that you’re in my car, do you think you can get off?"
Herbert hadn’t reacted yet when Nolan already stopped the car, saying calmly, "Take him away."
The car door opened, and several tall, strong n stood outside. In the next mont, Herbert was unceremoniously dragged out.
Only then did he realize today wasn’t an ordinary eting but a kidnapping orchestrated by Nolan!
He cursed loudly, "Nolan, are you crazy! How dare you do this to ! Aren’t you afraid your father will find out?"
Nolan remained indifferent, "I won’t harm you. I just want to use you to draw Pei Ya out."
"Crazy, truly crazy!" Herbert tried to reason calmly, "Xiya hates so much, Pei Ya wouldn’t care about my life or death."
Indeed, there was a reason Andrew gave up on Nolan; his intelligence was truly foolish.
Nolan muttered to himself, "How would we know if we don’t try?"
As long as he could take care of Pei Ya, his father would notice his rits, and he could outshine You’en, all while getting back at Xiya.
...
At this mont, Pei Ya was holding a pile of esoteric books, his expression indescribable as he asked, "Boss, what are you doing?"
"For you to read, this one, and this one too..."
Qiao Yun said as she continued placing the books in Pei Ya’s hands until they ford a small mountain.
She said sternly, "You have to read them all."
Pei Ya: "Why do you suddenly want to read books?"
Qiao Yun said disdainfully, "You’re too dumb; you need to study hard. My student can’t be this dumb."
These were books she had carefully selected; once Pei Ya finished reading them, he would surely beco smarter.
Pei Ya protested unwillingly, "How am I dumb?"
Qiao Yun replied, "If you’re not dumb, then why does Han Wang ignore you?"
Pei Ya was speechless: Boss, that hurts.
