Slap!

Slap!

For a mont, the front courtyard of the Tang Family echoed continuously with the sounds of slapping.

Tang Weijin had originally heard Tang Zichun’s angry roar and shuddered in fear.

What kind of son beats his own father?

However, after being smacked a few more tis, he was struck dumb.

And with the hot blood of youth, how could he possibly endure it?

Father and son instantly clashed, slapping each other incessantly, neither willing to submit.

On the other side, seeing Tang Zichun and Tang Weijin fighting, Mu Lingshan’s delicate face also revealed a look of shock.

She instinctively looked up, gazing at Yin Tian standing on the other side.

She didn’t know who this young man was, nor why a single word from him caused Tang Zichun and his son to slap each other like sworn enemies.

At the sa ti, she did not understand why Yin Tian sought her out, when she no longer had acquaintances in Central City.

But soon, Mu Lingshan let it go.

A bitter smile appeared at the corner of her mouth.

In her heart, she had long resigned herself to believing that this was all life had in store for her, that she would inevitably be taken into the household of a man with a powerful background. As for her future life, she had never cared.

Yin Tian, who had been watching Tang Zichun and his son slap each other with great interest, noticed the bitter smile on Mu Lingshan’s lips.

His brow furrowed slightly; without a word, he stepped toward Lingshan’s side.

"Shall we go?"

Yin Tian asked softly.

Mu Lingshan didn’t speak, but followed behind Yin Tian, walking off into the distance.

She was very obedient and submissive.

This was sothing she had learned through countless threats in the past.

Only by obediently complying could she avoid physical suffering.

After all...

What man doesn’t like an obedient woman?

As Yin Tian and Mu Lingshan left, they didn’t make much noise.

Considering that Tang Zichun and Tang Weijin, father and son, were both red-eyed, intent on knocking each other out, they failed to notice that Yin Tian and Mu Lingshan had departed.

Ten minutes later.

After taking another slap from Tang Zichun, Tang Weijin finally rolled his eyes and fell backward.

Tang Zichun, gasping for breath, reached out and touched his face, swollen like a stead bun, and imdiately winced at the pain.

"Mr. Yin, the task you entrusted with..."

Tang Zichun forced a smile on his swollen face and turned to look to the side.

But when he saw that Yin Tian and Mu Lingshan were nowhere to be found, Tang Zichun was so stunned he nearly fainted!

They had left!

They had actually walked away!

So, the hundreds of slaps he had just endured had beco a joke?

anwhile.

Yin Tian had driven Mu Lingshan to a bridge.

Below the bridge was the clear water of a river flowing.

Yin Tian and Mu Lingshan stood in the middle of the bridge, looking into the distance.

"Why did you bring here?"

Seeing that Yin Tian remained silent, Mu Lingshan finally could not contain her curiosity and asked softly.

"Because your heart is in turmoil,"

Yin Tian’s lips curved slightly upward as he answered, "You don’t know your own destiny, you don’t know your future, so I brought you here to clear your mind."

"Destiny? Future? Heh..."

Mu Lingshan let out a scornful laugh, "Do you think soone like even has the destiny and future you’re talking about?"

"Why not?"

"Enough, I don’t want to beat around the bush with you."

Mu Lingshan reached out and directly removed the hairpin from her head.

A cascade of black, beautiful hair instantly fell like a waterfall.

She turned to look at Yin Tian, expressionless, "I know what you want to do, but are you ready? Perhaps even ready to pay with your life?"

"I think you might have misunderstood..."

Yin Tian was about to speak when Mu Lingshan suddenly let out a cold laugh, "Misunderstood? Aren’t you n all the sa? But I’ll tell you in advance, none of the n who have co into contact with have ever ended well."

"I know,"

Yin Tian nodded slowly.

The mont he had laid eyes on Mu Lingshan, he had discerned her fate.

The fate of the Seven Injuries.

A life filled with misfortune and hardship, a destiny devoid of reliance, destined to be solitary.

This fate, bestowed upon any girl, was far from fortunate.

Seven injuries implied seven calamities.

And throughout history, there have been few won able to withstand these seven calamities.

Especially in ancient tis, if a woman’s husband died and she remarried, she would be the target of much scorn!

"You know? No, you don’t know."

A self-mocking smile appeared on Mu Lingshan’s face, "Even I don’t know..."

"What if I can make it so you’re no longer destined to ’curse’ your husbands?"

Yin Tian suddenly asked.

Mu Lingshan trembled, then shook her head, "You can’t do anything, no one in this world can."

But Yin Tian simply smiled gently, stepped over to Mu Lingshan’s side.

"How do you know if you don’t try?"

"Right, Shan?"
