Chapter 293: Chapter 293: Their Last Ti
“I’m not that fragile, a bit of tenderness won’t hurt.”
Having said that, Yan Qianyi struggled free from Mu Yunlie’s grip and continued to unfasten his shirt buttons.
Every ti she told him to stop fooling around, it never worked.
Now that the roles were reversed, she didn’t expect it to work either.
Yan Qianyi took the initiative for the first ti, like a little fairy who could steal hearts. Though her movents were sowhat clumsy and inexperienced, they nearly drove Mu Yunlie crazy.
She completely let herself go.
It was as if this was their last ti together.
She feared that after uncovering the truth, she and Mu Yunlie could no longer be this happy.
So, at this mont, all she wanted was to cherish the present and revel in the joy of now.
To treat tomorrow as if it were the end of the world.
The next day, Yan Qianyi felt anxious all day long.
As the end of the afternoon classes approached and Mu Yunlie was about to pick her up, her anxiety grew.
Suddenly, she wanted to back out.
She didn’t want to unearth the truth that could destroy her current happiness.
To pretend to be unaware of everything so that no one and nothing could disrupt her relationship with Mu Yunlie.
However, her mother had died a mysterious and unresolved death.
She ultimately couldn’t act as if nothing had happened and let her mother die in vain.
Thus, Han Yarong had achieved her goal.
Han Yarong had deliberately told her what she had witnessed back then, intending to push her into an abyss of unrest.
And now she felt herself plumting into that abyss.
Just before the end of class, Mu Yunlie sent her a ssage.
[“Sothing urgent ca up, I can’t pick you up today. I’ll take you there tomorrow.”]
Reading the ssage, Yan Qianyi felt a sense of relief.
Although she knew she couldn’t evade it forever.
But before she knew the truth, at least she could love Mu Yunlie with a clear conscience.
She replied to the ssage: [“No worries, you go ahead with your work, one day doesn’t matter.”]
Since she didn’t need to go to the cetery to see Mu Yunlie’s parents, Yan Qianyi headed back ho.
As the car approached the villa, suddenly a beautiful young boy erged from the side.
The beautiful boy stood in front of her car, blocking her way.
Yan Qianyi quickly hit the brakes.
Was this a scam?
She peered through the windshield to observe the boy.
He wore a white tracksuit, with both hands buried in the pockets of his hoodie, making eye contact with her.
It was clear he was here for her.
And his eyes contained a faint smile, as if he knew her.
But she didn’t recognize him.
She was soone who appreciated good looks, and if she knew a boy this handso, she would have rembered him.
Yan Qianyi frowned slightly, rolled down her window, and leaned out, “Kid, you’ve got the wrong car, haven’t you?”
The young man glanced at his wristband and then back at Yan Qianyi; his sowhat pale lips curved into a slight smile, “Cat Immortal, it’s definitely you.”
“!!!” Yan Qianyi was shocked, “What did you call ?”
He actually knew she was Cat Immortal?!
The young man smiled and revealed a row of neat, white teeth, “Are we sure we want to talk like this?”
Yan Qianyi pondered for a mont.
It seed this person knew about her identity within the organization.
She unlocked the car door, “Get in.”
The young man glanced behind him, “Aren’t you going to invite in?”
Yan Qianyi’s eyes narrowed, a cold light glinting within, “If you don’t want to die, cut the crap.”
Since he knew her identity, he should be aware of her thods.
The boy shrugged his shoulders and settled into the passenger seat.
Yan Qianyi quickly turned the car around, leaving the residential area.
She didn’t want her life disrupted by this unexpected stranger.
On the way, neither of them spoke a word.
Yan Qianyi kept her eyes on the road ahead but could feel the boy’s scrutinizing gaze on her.
She spoke up, “If you don’t want to gouge out your eyes, better behave.”
Although she was driving, she remained on alert.
Ready to counter-attack at any mont.
The boy let out a soft chuckle, “I’m very well-behaved, don’t worry, I won’t hurt you.”
Yan Qianyi sneered coldly.
How could soone who discovered her identity and found where she lived be harmless?
They arrived at a deserted beach, where Yan Qianyi parked the car.
“Get out,” she said, exiting the car first before turning back to the boy, “Tell , who are you? What do you want with ?”
The boy walked around the car to face her, pulling back the hood of his sweatshirt, “We’ve cooperated countless tis, don’t you trust ?”
Yan Qianyi was puzzled. Cooperated countless tis?
Suddenly, her eyes widened in shock. “You… you’re Hei Zai? Xiao Hei?!”
Hei Zai smiled and nodded.
Yan Qianyi’s guard instantly dropped; she sized him up, “But you’re not dark at all!”
She had imagined Hei Zai to be quite dark-skinned.
An unkempt tech nerd with a ss of hair and possibly even yellow teeth.
But the Hei Zai before her was nothing like she imagined.
He wasn’t dark at all. His skin was finer and whiter than a girl’s, though it looked sowhat sickly, probably from a lack of sunlight.
He wore a clean set of white casual clothes.
His black hair, cut level with his ears, was tied at the back, with a few strands hanging over his forehead, his features delicate and handso.
If he wore won’s clothing to match that face, it would look entirely natural.
“Cat Immortal does live up to his na, very much an immortal, prettier than I imagined,” Hei Zai’s gaze unabashedly conveyed his admiration and satisfaction towards Yan Qianyi.
Yan Qianyi laughed out loud.
Seeing Hei Zai made her happy, after all, they’d known each other for many years and had coordinated seamlessly many tis.
“Why didn’t I think of you at first?”
After logging onto the organization’s official website, everyone’s IP address was automatically hidden, untraceable by ordinary people.
But Hei Zai could do it.
Hei Zai shrugged helplessly, “It seems my codena was a poor choice; it made you think I was a monster.”
“But… why have you suddenly co looking for ?” Yan Qianyi’s smile stiffened, “This is against the rules.”
Happy as she was, Hei Zai’s approach did feel abrupt.
They had known each other for years and never pried into each other’s privacy during casual chats on the organization’s site.
It was an unspoken understanding between them.
Moreover, their activities always skirted the edge of legality, so even if they got along well within the organization, they should never et up in reality.
That was the rule of the ga.
But Hei Zai had now broken that rule.
Hei Zai said, “I’m sorry, but I’ve run into so trouble and need your help, so I ca to you directly.”
Yan Qianyi was puzzled, “If you need help, just contact through the organization; do you really need to co in person?”
Hei Zai nodded, “It’s necessary, I need to see you in person for you to help . Are you willing to help ?”
Yan Qianyi asked, “What exactly do you want to do for you? Spill it.”
Hei Zai looked into her eyes, smiling slightly, “Pretend to be my girlfriend in front of my family.”
