Gu Mingye stood no chance against her coquettish manner, hence he picked up her bowl and fed her.
Mo Shengyun ate obediently and as she did so, she looked at Gu Mingye with a pair of twinkling eyes.
After eating and drinking her fill, Mo Shengyun watched Gu Mingye clear the table and wash the dishes. She was exhausted, but insisted on watching him work.
His work was obviously boring, but whatever he was doing seed perfect and faultless in her eyes.

After he was done with all his work, Mo Shengyun stretched out her hands and said, “I’m so tired.”
“Get back in there if you’re tired.” Gu Mingye had just washed his hands with hot water and automatically lifted her off her feet. “You delicate thing....”

Gu Mingye paused and looked up. Mo Shengyun looked pitiful. “You’re not allowed to leave today. You said that you’d stay here with .”
“Go to sleep. I’ll be outside keeping you company.” Gu Mingye wanted to pull her away, but Mo Shengyun did not budge.
She looked at him in disdain. “What do you an by you’ll be outside keeping company?”
As she spoke, she pulled him towards her and said, “Keeping company ans sleeping together.”
Gu Mingye froze and instinctively tried to dodge.
Mo Shengyun tugged at him and said, “Are you lying to ? Co down here!”
“I have work to do...”
“What sort of work? I’ll call and ask my cousin.” The girl obviously would not believe him and said coquettishly, “What’s the aning of this? You said that you’d keep company, so why are you going outside now...”
Gu Mingye sighed and said, “Go to sleep. I’ll stay here with you then.”
“You look tired. Let’s sleep together.” Mo Shengyun released him. “Ah Ye, I’m still sick. Besides, you’re a man. You think I’ll rape you?”
“Just go to sleep.” Gu Mingye pushed her head down against the pillow and threatened. “I’ll go back to work if you don’t go to sleep.”
Mo Shengyun pouted. “Liar.”
“I’m here and I’m not going anywhere. Just relax and go to sleep, alright?” Gu Mingye pulled the blanket up. “Be good.”
Mo Shengyun pursed her lips and lie down obediently.
Perhaps the cold dicine made her tired.
She fell asleep almost imdiately after closing her eyes.
Seeing how she was knocked out, Gu Mingye couldn’t help but reach out to touch her face, then touched her forehead with his palm.
The temperature had lowered, but remained higher than normal.
He looked at the ti. It had only been two hours since she took her dicine.
In another two hours, she would have to take another pill.
As he made the ntal note, he started to feel drowsy as well.
He had been working non-stop for the past two days, waking up early and hardly sleeping late at night. He couldn’t help but yawn.
He went out and moved a chair into the room, and fell asleep by the bed.
When Mo Shengyun woke up in a daze, she saw Gu Mingye lying beside her.
His large fra was curled into a ball and it was obvious that he was extrely uncomfortable.
Besides, there was no cover on him, it was obvious that he would feel cold.
Mo Shengyun sat up and quietly got up.
But the mont she moved, Gu Mingye was roused from his sleep.
When he saw that Mo Shengyun had woken up, he imdiately looked at the ti and said, “Wait a mont.”
He left the room hurriedly and returned after about two minutes.
He returned holding a glass and two pills. “Take these.”
After Mo Shengyun downed the pills obediently, Gu Mingye handed her a thermoter and said, “Let’s check your temperature.”
Mo Shengyun obediently positioned the thermoter and moved closer to the edge of the bed. “Co up here, I’m a little cold.”
“Cold?” Gu Mingye reached out to touch her forehead. “Your fever has gone down. Why are you feeling cold still?”
“I don’t know. I woke up from the cold. It was so cold.” Mo Shengyun shivered. “Ah Ye, aren’t you cold?”
Gu Mingye did not say anything. He picked up the cup and walked out.
Mo Shengyun felt a little guilty. Could he have realized that she was lying to him?
But, all she wanted was for him to sleep on the bed.
He couldn’t... be angry, could he?
While she was still feeling uncertain, she removed the thermoter and got out of bed.
As she walked out of the room, she heard the sound of knife against a chopping board coming from the kitchen.
“Ah Ye, what are you doing?”
“Go back and lie down. I’ll boil so ginger water for you to drink.”
Upon hearing this, Mo Shengyun felt even more guilty.
She turned around and went to the bathroom. When she ca out, the ginger water was ready.
Brown sugar ginger water was good for warming the body.
Mo Shengyun wanted to take it, but her hand was imdiately scalded.
“Don’t fidget.” Gu Mingye slapped her hand away. “Go back and lie down.”
Mo Shengyun imdiately walked back into the room guiltily.
Gu Mingye saw that the thermoter was lying on the bedside table and imdiately looked displeased. “How high is it? Why didn’t you do a proper job of taking the temperature Lie down.”
Mo Shengyun was very obedient. She slipped under the blanket and drank the ginger water.
At the sa ti, she picked up the thermoter and did as she was told.
After a while, Gu Mingye removed the thermoter and confird that her fever had gone down. When he picked up the bowl, he noticed Mo Shengyun’s aggrieved expression.
She said, “Ah Ye, co up here.”
