The blanket was nicely and neatly folded.
The room was clean and tidy.
There wasn’t much decoration, and it was so simply furnished it looked bare.
As expected, Li Beinian was speechless again.
Mu Xichen got a blanket out from the cabinet. “You sleep here, I’ll sleep outside.”
“Uh...” Li Beinian felt bad. “That’s not nice, this is your house...”
“I’m used to it.” Mu Xichen avoided her gaze and his voice went hoarse. “Sleep early. Call if you need anything.”
“Oh...” Li Beinian couldn’t help but smile as her heart went warm and fuzzy. “Alright, then.”
She would call him when she needed sothing.
She watched Mu Xichen take his leave and then went to close the door.
She then locked it from the inside.
After all, there was another man in the house. Even if Mu Xichen was a gentleman, it was only right for her to be careful.
The soundproofing of the walls was really good. Li Beinian couldn’t hear the call coming in outside.
Mu Xichen saw the number and picked it up.
It was Gu Mingye. “Boss, I’ve got good and bad news. Which do you want to hear first?”
