*POV: Hu BaiShe*

"Sorry, but I’ll take the liberty of eliminating counterproductive assassins."

’ I should’ve seen this coming. Has that bastard already made it into the Sage Kingdom?’

Hu Fei smirked, his expression a mix of arrogance and sadistic pleasure.

I stared back, saying nothing.

He was an orphan, taken in solely for his talent. In an ancestral family like ours, a young master like , with an uncertain position, inspired nothing but contempt.

A direct heir, a lecherous waste—he didn’t even see as a threat.

But he knew his place. He made no mistakes. He never showed aversion or hostility. He knew the terror the Matriarch could inspire.

Hu Fei wasn’t as foolish as Hu Guowei. He used his intellect. He didn’t rely on brute force alone; he employed sches.

"It’s not about you, BaiShe. I have many targets..."

He watched , waiting for a reaction. I kept my expression unchanged.

"After you, obviously, it’ll be that idiot Guowei..."

That insignificant newcor had appeared out of nowhere, dived into a lake, and erged with a terrifying aura.

Even with Omnis, I couldn’t pinpoint his exact power, but he was far beyond the Born of Soul stage.

If he was the client... how had he gotten information about this place? Who was this son of a bitch, really?

Hu Fei seed to savor my silence, reveling in the idea that he could unsettle .

"I must say, I’m surprised by the level you’ve reached. Sha your girlfriend paid the price. Now, I’ll send you to join her."

I took a slow breath before finally responding.

"You talk too much."

"... Huh?"

"Unload your inner world."

He fell silent for a mont, visibly perplexed.

"What are you babbling about?"

"You’d better unload your inner world, you son of a bitch!"

I let my mask of indifference drop. My face was contorted, my temples throbbing, my fists clenched so tight my knuckles turned white.

Hu Fei laughed.

"You must be angry, your girlfriend—"

"YOU THINK THIS IS A FUCKING GA?! YOU THINK I FARD THAT BITCH FOR DAYS ONLY FOR YOU TO CO AND RUIN EVERYTHING, YOU SON OF A WHORE?!"

I roared so loudly that even the lake’s walls seed to vibrate under my scream.

"DO YOU THINK IT’S NOT ANNOYING TO HIDE MY TRUE NATURE? TO REPRESS MY URGES?!"

Hu Fei’s smile faded slightly, replaced by palpable confusion.

"After that little romance, there would’ve been a lakeside fuck fest! Finally, a damn reward after my hard work."

He said nothing, clearly analyzing my words.

"That traumatized bitch was already in the palm of my hand. A few more moves and she’d have beco my loyal blade, leashed by the illusion of love. But you brought your ass here at that exact mont, so I hope you at least have an inner world... Because if not..."

Hu Fei stared at for a mont, then burst into laughter.

"Ahaha, I see, I see... I thought you were naive, but we’re alike, after all. You’re even more unhinged than ..."

He laughed uproariously, genuinely amused.

"But whatever. I haven’t fully grasped the concept of my Law yet, but I think it’ll be enough to crush you."

I walked slowly toward him, my steps cracking the ground beneath .

"You’re wrong."

He raised an eyebrow. It had been a long ti since I’d gotten this angry.

And the reason was simple.

"You’re fucked, kid."

Everything had been perfect, and in a few seconds, this bastard had appeared and practically ruined my plan.

I just hoped she wasn’t dead.

But him...

Him, I was going to tear apart.

The click of Hu Fei’s tongue echoed in the air, a sharp, threatening sound heralding a storm of light. Thousands of golden arrows erupted around him, each shimring with divine energy. They hurtled toward , a rain of incandescent projectiles.

"Has he gone mad?" he said, seeing I had no intention of dodging.

An arrow struck my left shoulder. The impact was brutal. A jet of blood spurted, staining my tunic scarlet. The pain was intense, but I buried it deep within .

A second hit my chest, just above my heart. I felt a searing heat spread through my body. A low growl escaped my throat, but I didn’t flinch.

Then ca a third, aiming for my abdon. This ti, the arrow pierced deeper, making stagger slightly. Blood flowed freely, streaming down my legs and pooling on the ground in a dark puddle.

They struck my arms, nearly paralyzing them. My muscles contracted with pain. It felt like incandescent needles piercing my bones. Still, I kept moving forward.

He unleashed raw power, an absurd amount of radiant energy. Most practitioners would dodge or try to deflect such an attack, but I stood there, unmoving. Each arrow that hit left a burn on my skin, a sharp, painful bite. I felt the golden Qi sear , tearing my flesh, but my gaze remained fixed on Hu Fei. Not once did I look away.

I didn’t retreat, not a single step. The ground behind turned into a path of blood, a scarlet trail testifying to my resolve. Hu Fei must have thought I was insane, that I was ready to die.

When I finally reached him, his face was a mix of surprise and disbelief. He’d likely expected to collapse under the barrage of light, reduced to a pile of burnt flesh. But I was there, in front of him, covered in blood, still standing.

"You’re resilient? DIE!" he roared, his voice cracking with shock.

He concentrated all his energy into his fist, turning it into an incandescent star. His strike drew a luminous arc in the air, hurtling toward my face at blistering speed. He was certain this blow would take out. He thought my resistance had limits.

But at the very mont his fist was about to hit , my hand rose. My palm, covered in blood and scars, halted his strike dead, as if it had hit a steel wall.

"How!?" he exclaid, his eyes widening in incomprehension.

He was baffled, stunned. He couldn’t understand how I’d withstood his attacks and blocked his final blow.

I rely smiled, a cold, cruel smirk that bared my sharp canines. A sinister aura began to emanate from my body, a dark, suffocating energy that engulfed the area. The air vibrated, the scent of blood grew stronger, more overwhelming.

"I’ll show you how it’s done," I said, my voice raspy and nacing.
