Over the next several minutes, Venom explained to Tony why he had gone uncontrollably berserk earlier. There was no deception or concealnt; Venom directly stated that he had sensed the presence of a special mber of their species deep within the laboratory.
His loss of control had been due to the influence of that fellow mber, but now he had shaken off that influence and was back to normal.
Of course, Venom also briefly explained the uniqueness of that fellow mber, who had been sealed by Tony in the depths of the laboratory.
This individual was akin to a genetic seed, an entity that did not possess a complete “personality” but had an incredibly strong capacity for independent evolution, a “Venom” of sorts.
Such entities were not common within Venom’s entire species; they generally drifted randomly throughout the universe, seeking suitable habitats to propagate their species.
Compared to Venom or the rampaging one locked away by SHIELD, the fellow mber in the deep recesses of the laboratory was of a much higher rank, almost like the seed of their race. Otherwise, it wouldn’t have almost made Venom lose control the mont it sensed its consciousness.
After Venom had explained everything, Tony didn’t imdiately offer his thoughts; instead, he stroked his chin, deep in thought. Calling Eddie over had not only allowed him to study their symbiotic relationship but also unexpectedly yielded valuable information. These were additional gains.
However, Tony understood that while the information Venom had shared was valuable, it wasn’t necessarily crucial. Perhaps the fellow mber sealed away by Tony was of great importance to Venom’s species, but for Tony, it held less value than the “adorable” Venom right in front of him.
“Well, I understand. Do you have a way to block this kind of ntal exchange?” After pondering for a while, Tony looked up at the apprehensive Venom and asked.
“Uh… blocking ntal exchange… There’s no specific way to block this purely conscious exchange, but with strong willpower, one can actively resist it,” Venom answered after so thought in response to Tony’s question.
Hearing Venom’s answer, Tony nodded. This response wasn’t surprising to him. He had conducted nurous experints on the “Venom” he had acquired and couldn’t find a way to completely block its active release of ntal energy or consciousness.
Moreover, when “Venom” had parasitized Peter, it had gradually eroded his consciousness, transforming him into VenomSpiderman. If Peter had a stronger will at that ti, he could have actively expelled Venom on his own.
During Tony’s research on “Venom,” “Venom” had also tried to erode Tony’s consciousness on more than one occasion but had failed. Until Tony found a suitable way to harness “Venom,” he had sealed it away in an extre manner.
If it weren’t for the appearance of Eddie and the authentic Venom, Tony wouldn’t have known how long he would keep “Venom” sealed.
“Uh… Mr. Stark, can you tell about that guy down there?” During Tony’s silence, Venom cautiously spoke up.
Although Venom had already aligned with SHIELD, or rather with Earth, it still held a special sentint towards this fellow mber. After all, while it had a high rank, it didn’t look down on Venom, the “commoner,” because of its rank. It didn’t possess a clearly defined sense of self; its behaviors were driven by basic instincts.
“You want to know how he ended up here and why I sealed him?” Tony asked, anticipating Venom’s fragnted words.
Venom: “…”
“Don’t worry, he’s fine, except for not being free. He had swallowed various energies before, causing quite a bit of trouble,” Tony answered before Venom could continue.
“So, I already have quite comprehensive research data on your species here. It’s just that, due to your species’ naturally strong consciousness, I haven’t found a suitable way to harness your power yet. That’s also one of the reasons I called Eddie over. Do you think SHIELD would have let you co here so easily otherwise?” Tony added.
After hearing Tony’s explanation, Eddie felt sowhat relieved. Since Tony already had a mber of their species with higher rank and research value than the Venom currently with Eddie, he didn’t need to worry too much about Tony dissecting him.
“Hey hey! Eddie! What’s with that thought? I feel like you’re belittling !”
“Not at all! I just think you, as an ‘ordinary’ guy, are pretty good. After all, that’s how you survive!”
Next, with Venom now fully recovered and Tony having clarified matters, their research and testing continued. With the cooperation of Venom and Eddie, Tony’s research and testing progressed smoothly. The symbiotic relationship between Venom and Eddie provided Tony with novel data and offered new perspectives on how to utilize “Venom.”
And so, Tony spent nearly an hour with Eddie in the laboratory. After finally analyzing the combat data from when Eddie was fully equipped with Venom, this research session ca to a close.
Exhaling deeply, Tony organized and stored all the data. He then signaled to Eddie, who was still in Venom’s armored form, that he could return to normal. Compared to when “Venom” had parasitized Peter and turned him into VenomSpiderman, Eddie and Venom’s transformation was even more intimidating in appearance.
Beep beep beep!
As Tony’s research and testing on Eddie and Venom temporarily ca to an end, J.A.R.V.I.S. suddenly received a ssage from a high-ranking SHIELD officer, Captain Arica Rogers. Glancing at Eddie and Venom, who were looking over curiously, Tony directed J.A.R.V.I.S. to relay the ssage directly to his ears.
“Sir, it’s a ssage from Jackson. He’s found another nation with a special presence called Wakanda, located…”
Before J.A.R.V.I.S. could finish, Tony’s expression shifted from surprise to astonishnt to delight as he listened to the ssage about Wakanda. All this happened in front of Eddie, who was watching Venom’s transformations.
